Making cards - Ideas for beginners (part 4)

Hi everyone! Just want to ask your opinion on something if you don't mind? I have bought a Fiskar's ScrapBoss and wondered if anyone on here had used one before. The reviews elsewhere on the internet seemed positive but I know all you ladies on here know your stuff lol! Been lurking on this thread for a couple of weeks and have checked out some of your blogs. I have only recently started making cards and my efforts are nowhere even near all of yours. I would be grateful for any advice/comments you could give me as I would love to get better.
TIA,
Sadie xx0 -
Hi! Sadie, personally I didn't get on with mine and it lurks at the bottom of a big box. Please let us know how you get on with yours and show us what you've made with it, I would be interested and you never know, I might just rescue mine and show it a bit of daylight.
We always love to see what other people have created so post some pictures up on here. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -

Was it the birdy one you liked or the pink? If you look at the link it posted it shows the different papers in the stack, as I know there's a blue one with a bird in the corner and flourishes x0 -

If I remember right, it was pink with birds on?
My stash arrived from Quick Cards today (from when they used our photo from the NEC) - some 12x12 (very) thin papers, Valentines/hearts stickers, some embellishments and beads, 3 crafting CDs (Christmassy) and some glue. I'm sure I'll use the glue
I've had several freebie CDs over the last year, and never looked at any of them! Does anyone use them?
Lyndach - great challenge! Will it run for 2 weeks?some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -
THE-WIFE - many thanks for explaining RAK - I was trying to think what it could mean but came up with nothing lol!!! I will take a look over at CP soon. Jo-anns is nice, very different to Michaels as they sell fabrics and lots of sewing accessories. They have a good selection of fabrics but not so much on the cardmaking front instore. I ordered from their online store which has loads more stuff on it than instore. They always have good offers and if you can get the instore leaflet weekly there are usually vouchers in it like this week where they had a special 50% off as well as loads of other 40% off ones. The only thing is that because of the many instore offers, it is difficult to find a full priced item to use the vouchers on!!!
You are right about the packaging and I have not removed it on some things so will need to do that!!!! Some lovely paper packs on offer so very cheap but sooo heavy to carry!!!!
Lyndach - good luck with your operation. Hope it goes well. The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -

Not getting much done at all. I forget how time consuming babies are. We are having a bit of a rough time here he had an endoscopy this week and hasn't stopped bringing his milk back up so i think it has upset him.
