    Evening ladies.

Completely OT but I could do with some inspiration ladies. We're all off to Camp Bestival in a couple of weeks and I need to work out a family fancy dress for us all - the theme is Fairy Tales. A lot of the ones with multiple characters seem to involve animals (Goldilocks and the 3 bears for one) and I'm hoping it'll be way too hot for anyone to dress as animals. Soooo - any ideas for costumes that won't be too hard to do - although I will most likely waste a load of time and money trying to make them and then end up buying some anyway! Thanks in anticipation......

How about Peter Pan? There's Wendy the lost boys and all the pirates.

    Treasure Island?
Snow White and the 7 dwarfs?
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Crafting is my only vice too.. don't drink or smoke or buy biscuits or chocs or sweets, but I have decided for me personally that I can have too much of a good thing, it is so addictive!!!
My poor unsuspecting dh was most impressed when I said that I wasn't going to buy any stash for a while.. he actually said.. " but you don't spend that much on craft stuff" Little does he know.. I hide the c. c. bills, bless!!

Hello CT glad to see you back.. :D I was 'missing' for about a month I think.. no, maybe a few weeks, lost track and I still haven't caught up with the thread properly.. yopur mojo will come back, you make such bril cards..

This company has 15% off copics at the mo, don't know how long for, but there is postage.. They also sell packs of 10 promarkers for £12.99 which isn't bad, if they have colours you need.. single ones are a bit pricey thought, £1.99  http://www.artifolk.co.uk

LOL - Hassy, glad I'm not the only one!!!!

Right, got another quick question - I have used a silver ink pad (and can't get the silver off the stamp!!), but anyway, it says it needs sealing with a sealing spray - have I read somewhere that you can use hairspray - does this ring bells with anyone??? Thanks in advance.

Can someone tell me what the current challenge on here is please, if there is one and when the closing date is? With any luck the card I made yesterday might fit the challenge.

    Thanks
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

Thanks Hassy - I have missed crafting, and the card I made yesterday for a friend, was certainly a challenge. I was told it had to be based on a ketchup bottle, and have the guy's name on it somewhere, so I came up with another 3d card, and it looked really real like the gadget cards I was doing earlier in the year. I gave it to my friend today and she absolutely loved it, so I've had a big smile on my face all day - something that I haven't been doing a lot of lately :o xx

  • Evening all. Wow I have a day away and there's 5 pages to catch up on! Worse thing is I had a whole load of stuff typed and the page crashed -grrr and there's no way I'm going to remember it all - sorry.

Ali-b - it sounds fine to me,I'll comment on your blog asap. Also can I be cheeky and ask which embossing folders were supplied with it? TIA

The-Wife - re your meal deal - did you know that if you ditch the side and buy 2 mains, a dessert and a bottle of wine the deal still kicks in?;)

Rusty - glad DD is OK, sorry to hear your other news

CT1972 - nice too see you posting again, look forward to your ketchup bottle.

Dragonlew - glad everything is OK with your hubby

Hassy - did they make any mention of the house mouse cd rom that's due for release? It was mentioned the last time Joanne Sheen was on, but I've not seen anything since. Also, make sure you leave your purse at home if you're going to see Lindsay Mason - she made me part with loads of money:D

I won't be joining the stash ban just yet either, still feel the need for a few bits and bobs (I may have to check out Little Claire's again - the die I got from there is fantastic), but like DTB and Melissa - I have very few other vices so don't feel too guilty having the odd splurge.

Just a reminder ladies, my £40 giveaway closes tomorrow, to enter just become a follower and post a link on your blog.

Also the current challenge to try a new technique ends on 20/7, so far I have:

    The-Wife
    Addams
    Mellisa
    Choccy
    Flourgirl
    Rainmac

Thanks Wanna-b-rich - ketchup bottle now on my blog. Can I enter your challenge? I've made my own backing paper using watermarks in 'word' so does that count as a new technique - never done that before
