    Evening ladies..
Wow haven't we got a growing number of MSE ladies stopping stash purchasing.. when I followed Padsters lead I never imagined so many joining in... :j

Tomorrow might be a big test.. if I feel up to it, Lindsay Mason is going to Dawn Bib's doing demo's and one of my friends who went to Doncaster is going and asked me, IF i do go, I am going to leave my purse at home.. I really really will..

Bunbun Thank you for enquiring about my head ache.. I am feeling really dizzy today.. what's that about?
Padster Hope you feel better soon, summer colds are the pitz..

Hope everone else is ok.. Where has Summer gone? Since the hosepipe ban has been implemented, it has done nothing but rain... helped the garden I suppose, just wish the winds would die down..

Melissa Hope Elliot feel better very soon.. my ds2 is in agony periodically with his wisdom teeth coming thru.. teeth can be such a problem throughout our lives can't they..
Self imposed crafty stash ban: started again 22/8/10 1 whole month stash free!
I must not buy stash, I must not buy stash, I must not buy stash! :o

    Evening ladies.

Rusty - sorry to hear about your mum's partners dad - and Melissa sorry about your OH's grandad. My poor children only have 2 grandparents ( 1 from each of us) and talk about Grandad (my Dad) often even though neither of them met him. I do know of a few 'Nanas in the sky' among my friends which seems to work well for the children concerned.

Dragonllew - really glad to hear that your OH is OK - that must have been so scary.
Although I'm not on a stash ban I do think I may not be well. I went into quite a large craft shop in town today (never usually bother with Swindon!) and spent a grand total of 26p on 2 metres of some cord. There is definitely something wrong with me!

Completely OT but I could do with some inspiration ladies. We're all off to Camp Bestival in a couple of weeks and I need to work out a family fancy dress for us all - the theme is Fairy Tales. A lot of the ones with multiple characters seem to involve animals (Goldilocks and the 3 bears for one) and I'm hoping it'll be way too hot for anyone to dress as animals. Soooo - any ideas for costumes that won't be too hard to do - although I will most likely waste a load of time and money trying to make them and then end up buying some anyway! Thanks in anticipation......

Home alone (well with the boys in bed anyway) - you never know I may even get a couple of cards made!

No way I'm going on a stash diet - I'm on the other kind of diet and stash is just about my only vice at the mo - good luck to the rest of you though!

Oooh and whilst you have your thinking caps on - I need to come up with a costume for clarabel from thomas the Tank Engine - for me! We have an annual 'pub hunt' thro work where we do a pub crawl through town collecting clues, answering questions etc. There about 50 teams involved and each one has a fncy dress assigned. This years theme is 'Cartoons' - and we must have annoyed someone to be given Thomas the Tank Engine - being on the cardboard boxes!

I don't think I can join the stash diet, I'm the same as Dawnteabag - I'm not eating chocolate, crisps or biscuits, I don't drink or smoke so stash is the only thing that I spend any money on!!!! Saying that I am trying to calm down my spending - I do seem to be a bit better lately - mind you there's loads and loads of new collections coming out soon!!!!

Thank heavens I'm not going to be alone!

I don;t spend that much on stash really - honest!

I had a bit of a splurge last week from Little Claire & Elzybells. Apart from that I bought a bag of lace oddments from a charity shop for £2. Quite what I'm going to with it all I don't know

And today I bought some football stickers from Accesorise - they were 70% off so 52p per pack - am planning to make some fiddlefartesque cards with them.

It's my crafty friend from works birthday tomorrow and we're going out for lunch on Monday so I'm working on a birthday present and card for her at the mo. Better crack on ..........

PONR Forgot to ask you how you liked Marrakesh

Hiya - we had a great time thanks although I found it quite expensive in the Souks! I didn't buy much just a few spices, some beads and a tagine dish. We ate in the square at the food stalls each night and enjoyed that! Our Riad was lovely and about a 15 - 20 min walk from the square down lots of winding little streets. It was alittle too hot, around 43 deg!!!

I forgot to say before thanks everyone for wishes for little Elliot. He's normally such a happy baby so its hard to see him so upset!! He's sleeping now - so I'm off to grab a cuppa and try to finish my DT card off for next week!!!

Dawnteabag - I don't go out anywhere either - I sound so boring don't I so crafting really is my only vice!!!!

    :wave:Hi Everyone
Hope everyone is OK, and I am sure you have all been doing some fantastic cards.
Sorry to have been AWOL for so long, but once again real life has been very hectic and my crafting mojo has deserted me for the last 2 ½ months, until I was asked yesterday to make a card for a friend based on a bottle of tomato ketchup, will try to blog it later. Need to get my b** in gear though as I have 8 teachers cards to make before next Thursday – thought I had another 2 weeks to do them! Never mind I’m sure I will sort something out.
I’ve read back a couple of pages, but am not sure I will ever catch up on the 60+ I’ve missed since May, but just wanted to say:
Melissa sorry about your OH Grandad - my kids never met my dad, but know he is the brightest shining star in the sky, and we talk about him a lot. When it thunders they think he has scored a goal at a football match! Hope Elliott’s teething settles down soon for him, and he is back to his normal happy self.
Gemm – you must be really pleased to have had your redundancy agreed. Good luck with whatever you do next.
Craftygranny – let us know if you need any cards for Carly’s fundraising – i’d be happy to do some for you.
Rusty - sorry to hear about your mum’s partners father.
Well done to everyone on all the challenges that seem to have been won lately, you are such a talented lot.
Welcome to any newbies on the thread.
Hugs to everyone – promise to start posting again, in the hope of getting myself out of the general rut I am in at the moment xxx
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000
