moonbabe is the cardi a tesco one?? i'm sure someone posted one like tht recently...i like the sound if it!

re: guides, yeah i think i need to talk to my friend, who has mentioned in the past that sis doesn't seem happy etc with her group so i'm sure it won't come as a suprise..
the main issue is that the camp forms need to be back to central admin (it's a huge 3 county camp, being organised by a large committee) by next week, and thus i need to address this sooner rtaher than later in order that sis / I can be down as staying in the correct sections..hmmm/.

PF yes its a Tesco one, bought it in their 50% flash sale so abit of a bargain :) Though the studs dont seem to be sewn on very securely so am abit wary of them falling off!

I was in the stationer's yday, and they had all kinds of colours and sizes of eyelets in the sale.. but I didn't get any as i wasn't sure how to use them.....i'm guessing i'd need an eyelet maker to make the holes etc..will hav a search..

    Hi all

I am a long time lurker and ventured out a while ago to ask for an opinion on a New Look dress, which was kindly supplied. Had PC issues which prevented me from coming back and thanking you, but they are finally, I think, resolved! Thank you to all who replied.

In the least stalkerish way possible, sorry to hear that some of you are feeling unwell or down, I won't single you out as that might be just too weird given that you don't know me!

It's all take, take, take with me and I'm here once more to ask for advice. I live in Australia, having moved here 3 years ago but I miss UK shopping SO much and have been looking online at New Look and Dorothy Perkins tonight. Seems like DP has gone up in price massively! Anyway, there are a few things I'm tempted by, but it's such a hassle and expense to return things that I'm after any tips anyone can offer on how to spot a good buy/fit online. Everything on the NL site looks incredibly short, but surely it can't all be?! Seems like some of you ladies shop online fairly regularly, so help me out, if you don't mind, and steer me in the right direction - how do I know (or how can I get an idea) of what something will look like?

What size and shape are you Almo? I work right by a New Look and DP so I don't mind trying some stuff on for you if you want advice on length etc :)

I'd have a close look at the fabric descriptions online as I'm finding with DP at the mo that stuff looks lovely but the fabric feels really cheap and nasty. And you're right, prices have shot up!

With New Look it depends how tall you are really. I've got a few dresses from there recently that aren't too short but then I am a midget!

oh i have to disagree alex, i'd consider myself short - average height, and i thikn the new look stuff recently is indecently short on the whole!!

i got that green lace dress at the weeeknd and tried it on this morning to wear it, and you could see the tops of my tights, you know the band where it's darker on tights..just below underwear LOL

Thanks Alex, actually one of the dresses I was looking at is one I think you have (Oh dear, the mortification of stalking people's blogs and admitting to it) - the black one with the white trim, kind of lacy/crochet? Let me nip off and find some links - that is such a kind offer.

I'm a 14, and about 5 foot 4. I'm fairly hourglass and find that I can go down (or up, sometimes) in size depending on the fit.

    Eek, that is short!

Perhaps they've chopped hemlines for spring? I don't think I've bought anything from there since March - that counts as recently in my shopping life :D

Wow, really? Some of their stuff looks absolutely ridiculously short online but I was kind of hoping that wasn't the case...
