Tea, that seems awfully expensive (or perhaps I'm just clueless about prices on these things). We pay £525 a month for a 3 bed semi.

Do any of you privately rent if so could you help me if possible? We're looking at flats that around £650-675pcm is it acceptable to see if they will negotiate the rent as in, going lower? Some of these places are lovely but we'd ideally like to be paying £630-650pcm rent. Obviously if the flat is 675 i won't ask them to go down to 630 or something stupid. It's just all so scary, what if we ever fall short one month? Eeeek, as it's getting much closer it's getting sooo much scarier...

Definitely negotiate, we knocked £45/month off our rent easily and supply>demand in most places so you have a lot of bargaining power. Where do you live?

I second vicki's OS board recommendation, it is a mine of information and tips. :)

p.s. you need to teach your OH to cook!!! :D

Yup that's about the going rate round here, actually I was surprised at how cheap it was being so close to Bluewater and London!

I think false lashes are a no-no for me, due to wearing specs.

PF, you'll be fine, if the page 3 stunnas all manage to put theirs on without blinding themselves then I'm sure you'll be alright.

pf, Don't worry! it's not superglue!

I can't do it , I'm total carp at that sort of thing. Even worse now I need glasses for close-up. For a special occasion (once every blue moon) I go to the salon and have them put on (supplied and fitted for £8 :o:o:o) They look fab though!
