Afternoon, all! Hope you've all had good weekends and wasn't it nice to have a bit of albeit chilly, sunshine?
Daisy those creations are lovely.
Just a quick post as I'm off to the hospital in a bit and need to pack a supply of fresh Pj's, nighties, towels and nail varnish as it's Mum's pampering day today.
Today's outfit:
Black playsuit with stylised bird print (£2 local market sample)
Fuschia tights (Ethel Austin £1)
Vintage brown suede ankle boots with wooden stack heels (£2.95 Help The Aged)
Huge pink floral hair bow (Handmade)
Silver bangles and rings (India) and Om Earrings (India)
I'm also rocking false eyelashes today.
Catch you all later,
Goan

Do any of you privately rent if so could you help me if possible? We're looking at flats that around £650-675pcm is it acceptable to see if they will negotiate the rent as in, going lower? Some of these places are lovely but we'd ideally like to be paying £630-650pcm rent. Obviously if the flat is 675 i won't ask them to go down to 630 or something stupid. It's just all so scary, what if we ever fall short one month? Eeeek, as it's getting much closer it's getting sooo much scarier...0

Thanks, Lost! She's had a few good days but wasn't very well yesterday.
After attempting those individual lashes I'm finding the conventional ones quite simple. With me it's all about making sure the glue is almost dry before they go on as the wetter the glue the more they slide about.
I don't like the very spidery lashes, mine are short and thick and give the impression of eyeliner...quite 60's-ish...I'd hate to look like a Page 3 stunna.:eek:0 -

No harm in asking if they'd accept less.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
tea, try to negotiate sure. If there is a lot of competition for the flats then it will be unlikely, if there is not then might well be an option. Perhaps more likley on something thats been avaiable for a while.0

Hope everyone is well.
Goan, how lovely to pamper your Mum. A lot of people forget about that side of things when you're ill in hospital so she lucky to have you take care of that.
Tea, It's worth a shot, if you don't ask you don't get! Try not to put your backs up against the wall with your rent as it's quite common for landlords to put the rent up when you renew your contract, especially as the economic situation improves, I'd be surprised if rental prices didn't creep up too. It'd be devastating to be paying absolute top price and then have to move if the rent increased. If you can make sure that your rent and bills are taken right after payday too so that if money is short you have paid the important bills.
I'd recommend reading up on the Old Style board as they have amazing money saving tips that have really cut our household expenditure, so they are good habits to get into right from the start.0 -
Thanks. We're pretty good and sensible when it comes to money bills etc there will be a shared bank account all the bills and rent go out of. Yeah, we're only going rent for a year so if they up the rent we can either say, keep the rent the same or we'll find somewhere else. As his parents are near by, it won't be no big deal if we have to move out. We're very lucky that i'm a mean cook, as Oliver can barely make pasta bless him0
