Yay! I still haven't unpacked my birthday presents since coming back from hols, isn't that terrible? It's on tonight's to-do list, along with making cake :D

    Mmmmm, sweeties.

    What cakes are you making?

Haven't decided yet - preferably something I can't eat so that I'm not tempted to eat the entire bowl of cake mixture! It should probably be something chocolatey but that would involve going to the shops and I just don't think I can be bothered.

    Hi everyone,

Glad you've had a nice birthday Daisy, sounds like you've had fun!

MMM Alex - cake - and congratulations on the weight loss! I've lost about 2 stone so far and need to get back on the wagon and get back down the gym again as I've kinda... stopped :o Want to lose about another two ideally, I was at my best weight when I was around a size 12 so trying to get back to that.

I was a bit daring again (well for me, anyway :rotfl:) with my outfit today - forgot to take a photo though so I'll have to just describe it...
    Pale grey knitted teeshirt
    Black cardigan
    Gray pinstripe pencil skirt
    Black tights

Have a good day all :)

    xx
Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o

Philippa, lovely dress and I don't think it's one to go with too formal a style shoe either personally. I've just bought a pair of nude patent bow front wedges from New Look. They actually had 2 types there. I got these to go with a white linen shift dress I've got.

They only had 3 pairs left though. The cork wedge is quite smooth and has a subtle bit of gold runnng through. (sounds a bit ??? but it makes them a bit smarter than a rough type cork wedge)

They also had a good stock of this style in nude with an edge of silver on the bow. They are a bit higher.

...........and they only show a teensy bit of toe!

Thanks very much Bronnie - I love the dress, it looks even better on, and I'm not a skinny woman! It isn't very formal, which I prefer and I thought the rope on the espadrilles would compliment the rope on the dress. However, I have taken everyones comments on board and I think I might head in to Liverpool tomorrow and have a good search round. I am happy in any heel height, I just need to find a pair in the right shade - I'll probably carry the dress around with me!

The wedding is 3 weeks on Saturday... plenty of shoe shopping time (eek!)!
