I wore my maxi yesterday and DH told me that it made me look bigger than I was. He said it nicely thogh but I suddenly felt like not wearing it so changed. I quizzed him on it a bit more and he said he just doen't like maxi dresses much even on thereally skinny celbs he though they looked bad so it's probably just him. I do think that it's a size too big now so may not be as flattering as when I bought it. I'm thinking of ebaying it and splurging on a new one.
    That'll teach him lol!

I'm loving my outfit today and had several complements at the group this morning:
    Grey jeggings - £6 Tesco
Turquoise and different pinks rose print vest top - £4 Primark
    Grey/Nude Stripey Boyfriend jacket - £13 Primark
Peach leather tooled wedges - Clarks via Jumble sale - Free!!!
    Pink and turquoise coloured bracelets
    Long turquiose necklace £1 Topshop
Long pink and grey necklace £2 Primark
    Grey pearl look earrings
    Coral toenails and grey fingernails.

Today I am determined to find out where the smell of poo is coming from. If I do nothing else I will hunt it down. Prime suspects are the cats and Dylan, it's not like either though so I can't work it out.

:D my Anna Sui outnet bargain just arrived, omg, it's gorgeous
    such amazing quality
and I'm glad I went for something that won't date, as it makes it even more of a bargain!
The delivery man was gorgeous too, AND scored bonus points for approving of my leggings

:D Gotta love the hunky delivery men!

Vicki, I know having a house that smells of poo isn't funny but I just cracked up reading about it :rotfl:

LOL I feel very slim in my maxi dress, the elongated line is very flattering I think. Anyway, definitely treat yourself to a new one now......it's silly how comments like that, no matter how nicely made, can hang around and haunt you....no matter how confident we purport to be!!

Hmmm! tracking down smells.....came back from hols to a slight strange sweetish, but definitely "off" smell in the kitchen. DD had noticed it and had cleaned fridge, swept and mopped floor, wiped down all tops with fragrant cleaner and had a nice fresh fragrant oil in the oil burner, all to no avail. Put soda down the sink, sniffed tea towels and dish cloths, checked grid outside, cat's tray etc etc etc and was mystified until realised it was coming from the (fairly under-used atm )oven, which I have to admit is a much-neglected task:o:o:o. Quickly tackled with nasty toxic Mr Muscle and order now restored!!

Sorry, I had to laugh at that as well. Do you mean it's not like the cats or Dylan to do such a thing or it doesn't smell like what they normally produce? :rotfl:

Let's see the Anna Sui! I'm so gutted I forgot all about the sale, I was out on thursdaynight too and still awake at 5am. If only I had waited a little longer. Gah.

On a happier note i'm getting free clothes tonight from someone by dad knows. And on an even happier note (I think) I got a £900 refund from university. As i'm off ill i'm not sure why I have this..unless they have kicked me off the course and haven't told me (I'm changing unis next year but that isn't related). Does anyone know where on the forum would be best to post for help? Or should I just ring them?

Been to town today to change a pair of size 10 leggings which I couldn't get past my knees to a pair of size 12 which are far too big! Stress!

    Haha Vicki, so in suspense!

Tsabo, I'll snap a pic later!

Woo for free clothes. And you could maybe post in the student section about uni?

Oh yes! I bet it looks gorgeous on you x
Tsabo, lucky girl, hope the £900 is yours to keep.
  • Daisy, Those leggings look amazing. I hope you're prepared for people in the queue at Tesco bending down to read them!
I'm glad you're feeling better today.

Alex, I've remembered what I was going to ask you. It's political - all I know about politics is from 'Have I got news for you' so not a lot. I'll PM you.

Tara, aren't Powerplates just amazing! I need to start using mine again (DH picked one up second hand last year) - I found I lost weight quicker and using that and my MBTs made a reale difference to my legs and bum.

I love maxi dresses but unless I wear really high heels, I don't feel quite right in them - being short, I feel a bit dumpy. My compromise is to take them up just a little, just a couple of inches above my ankle bone.

    Currently wearing:
Long black sleevless jersey dress with draped tulip skirt £2.50 charity shop
black fine knit short cardigan M&S no idea of cost.

Vicki, it's not the drains, is it? We had a really odd smell last week, turned out the shower pipe had a hair backlog and needed plunging. We had problems with the toilet once and had to get the outside drain unblocked - the smell while they were doing it was grim (and I was in the house).
