Stop talking about snow, I'm off to Yorkshire! I'm not posting an outfit at all this week, packed really light for 3 days in a theme park in the snow so I've got jeans, t-shirts, a hoody, a waterproof and my sheepskin boots all in varying shades of black, not particularly stylish!
Off to get my train in a mo, bye!!

I wonder whereabouts in Yorkshire Mariel's off to? If you see this when you arrive, let me know! We're not forecast for snow here in West Yorks but it is very cold and wet and grey and horrid. Anyone else sickeningly jealous of goan and her impending travels?! :rotfl:

Happy Monday afternoon, all. I am SO glad to be over the hump of this day. Mondays are never pleasant but today takes the biscuit! I feel as grey as the sky and am dressed to match:

    Grey jersey skirt
    Grey tee
Grey cardigan (stupidly with 3/4 sleeves - so cold!)
    Rose print tights (needed colour)
    Yellow nails (as above!)
    Yellow suede belt (and again...)
    Eclectic Eccentricity necklace
    Grey plimsols

The IC shoes I'm watching on eBay end tonight and are up to £10. Bah! How much would you IC addicts pay for a flat pair on eBay?

Also, was catching up and saw Daisy's gorgeous makeover shot. Wowzers!!

(Is it totally 80s to say 'wowzers'? I say it all the time!)

What a cold and miserable day and my outfit reflects this! However i'm going out for gay night tonight so I get to dress sparkly.
Just going to have a clean up in the kitchen and potter all day. I'm shattered! Didn't sleep till about 4am and when I took the dog out last night I went over on my ankle and it's throbbing.
    Today is just against me!

Daisy - is the maxi dress an ok length? The one I tried on hung an inch above the ground and looked silly. I'm just off 5' 9. I think it generally didn't suit me.

I'm just a bit taller than you, it's shorter than my other maxi dress, but I liked the way it fell, as it's jersey it seemed to get away with being a little shorter.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I'd say an inch -ish of the ground is no bad length at all. I think one of mine is a little shorter still, around the ankle (and I'm shorter than both of you!). the hems get dirty enough at that length, and you need just enough for shoes to be seen ...if the rest of the dress works I think we can find a way to make length workable.

daisybella sounds like fate was totally with you in the dress.

In cidentally, I rather liked the all in one in kakhi on the M&S tv advert, but a quick look at the beautiful model on the sales picture on the website not the advert, confirms it can make even beautiful normal women look like a super mario brother. I think an oversize handbag would risk looking like a tool bag, and all in all it could be all a bit...butch. And army too. That said, a tall lean person could work it with some cream and gold accesories would be lovely.

Maybe it was just because I had pink sock on then? :o

Is anyone buying Leeds/Reading tickets tonight? I was going to go for just a day this year (being going for the last three years) but i'm not sure £80/£90 is a lot of money.

If you don't mind the drive to Derbyshire, we always go to this rather cute little festival http://www.indietracks.co.uk/

Only £55 for the weekend, there's a lovely campsite nearby with hot showers, kitchenette, laundry and jacuzzi. Last year there were free craft workshops run by Tatty Devine and Eithne Farry plus there's lots of Indie bands, free rides on steam trains, real ale, quality food and vintage clothes for sale.

    We love it!
