Daisy- that makeover photo is stunning! I have a bone to pick with you though...I just had to buy some strawberry stud earrings from the Penny dog after reading about them on your blog! They are a late birthday present to myself, and were a bargain at £5!

Meds- love the shoes and boots.

Picked up my brown suede Fit Flops today from Boots. They are really nice, actually and so comfy. I have a pair of the original red ones from a couple of years ago but these are tons nicer.

    Today's outfit:
    Black long sleeve top, Asda
    Grey Dress with Roses, Next
Footless Tights with Zips at Bottom, M&S
    Plaited Bronze Headband, Primark
    Fit Flops

Ooh what are your fitflops like? I had some neutral coloured ones last year and I lived in them but they arent the nicest things to look at are they? Have they changed the design of the new ones at all?

It's these http://www.boots.com/en/FitFlop-Oasis-Chocolate_1040032/. I like them a lot. I noticed after I bought them that there are a load of sequin ones on eBay!

Killie - It's the other way round here, i'm trying to get my mum to sign up!

Retro - Boro is quite good for shopping. Not too sure on the charity shops though. Have you ever been to Bishop Auckland? It's tiny and the 'real' shops are rubbish but there is about 10 charity shops all on the same street.

Queen - have you checked inside the last box for the brown tape? I wrapped up the brown tape in newspaper once.. Not jealous at all of you having to pack! Good luck.

There is a few things I needed in town but I went in with my dad and brother who stood right infront of everything I wanted to look at. Pfft, men!
Feeling pretty good at the moment. I'm going to have some food and spring clean. I might do some before and after pictures of the house (we've had a lot of building work done).

RE body image issues: I've put on two stone and two sizes in the past two years and I know I look better for it. I didn't actually realise what I looked like untill I saw a video of myself a few months ago and was pretty shocked.
I think no matter what someone;s size is they will always have 'fat days' but they're generally just feeling down and can't be bothered days.

OOh Bishop Aukland! Will have to investigate that I think didnt think it had any chazza shops but I dont get around as much as i would like!

Reg body image all I can say is BLAH I have been bigger than I am now and also much smaller and at every stage Ive hated myself and my body....cant help it years of living with a bully who tells you you are useless and not worth living will do that for you......present OH (that makes him sound like hes not permanent- he is!) is fab for boosting my confidence and says the loveliest things when Im down but I don't think I will ever shake off the feeling that Im not worth much......I am also the daughter of a dieting obsessed mother and I was brought up to think thin equals success..for example of how my mum thinks, she thought that Geri Halliwell looked amazing at her painfully thin yoga obsessed stage...

Oh dear that turned into a bit of a rant didnt it?

I'm fully aware these will not be to everyone's taste but I flipping love them. I blame Agatha Christie novels, I have a weird thing for Harlequin stuff:

Bishop Auckland & Barnard Castle were both great for charity shops when I was there (year before last I think?) I got some brilliant Girls Own first editions for 50p each in one of the shops in B.A - the shop stunk but it was worth it for the books!!

I find it quite funny (in a painful sort of way) to think that I was about a size 14 when I was at school and I thought I was HUGE. I hated it, I had no self confidence whatsoever (and I got fatter and fatter and felt worse and worse until I decided to do something about it and now I may still be one of the bigger girls on here but I feel fab in comparison to a year ago so there!) Can't wait to be a size 14 now and I'm not sure I even want to be any slimmer than that. Confidence is a slooooooooow process in my life.

And it does upset me a bit to see some of you calling yourselves fat. Not because it makes me feel massive by comparison, but because I can see your photos and I know how gorgeous you all look and I just wish you felt a little better about yourselves!

Alex, are you watching Enid? I loved Enid Blyton as a child so I'm going to settle down in front of the telly instead of cleaning the kitchen!

Retro - I lived in Fitflops last Summer. I have Pistachio jellys and some Sketchers black ones that look exactly like Walkstars. I'm hoping not to wear them all the time this year as I don't think they go so well with my new clothes, but they're too comfy to not wear on long walks!

Recording it as it clashes with Match of the Day 2 and I can't miss the Liverpool highlights :D
  • Alex, how was the meet up? Has it inspired you to organise ours?

    I like the shoes btw.

Ah I wondered where you were Alex!
Dylan just woke but I was quite glad as we had a lovely sleepy cuddle which I needed after watching this film.
