Just back from a lovely relaxed Sunday lunch at my grandparents house, which is doubly good because my Nana was unwell last year and in hospital for a while so it's great that she's back on form and feels up to having us all round again
my outfit in the end was:
yellow lace dress from primark (yday purchase)
grey tights
yellow peep toe heels, also primark and have been in the sell pile for ages but go quite well with the dress so got reinstated as wearable heels lol
blue polka dot coat, White stuff, as it was a jot chilly
vicki thank you for your comment earlier, whch I do kinda agree with..my own issues with my self esteem and body are certainly never aimed at anything else and I'd hate to think that anyone would take offence at them..I'm not happy with the way I am, but I do work at doing something about it, which is a slow process both physically and emotionally for me I think..
And when I get to the size 8-10 stage I certainly won't be moaning!0 -
Forgot to take the stupid flip flops when we went out D'uh.
Think we've decide to take an actual proper holiday in sept/october. A friend wrote ages ago saying his house in Tuscany is sitting empty and that he really thought we should go there for a while (he said a month! How do people get that sort of time off work!!!) so we are thinking of going for a week..nd then coming back via Venice or Milan to see friends. That way we'd be near enough friends in Tuscany to meet up with people for socializing a couple of times, but far enough a way to be able to have plenty of time to ourselves too.
Very annoyed because two dresses I've been umming nd ahhing about I love them both,
are both out f stock in bigger sizes now....grr. They were this onehttp://www.monsoon.co.uk/Maxi-Dresses/Paradise-Maxi-Dress/invt/65220584&bklist=icat,5,shop,women,dresses,wommaxidress
which i like depsite it not being terribly ''me''. it reminds me of the colours of places i lived as a child, I'm probably to pale for it now.
bt this one

that dress is lovely lost- keep an eye on ebay you never know what will pop up.
I went out for an hour or two this afternoon but have to say I'm getting so tight- ha ha loads of stuff but thought 'I'm not paying.........'0 -
Hi everyone
Just popping on for a quick catch up while I eat my pudding (fruit crumble, bit naughty but I've put oats on the top to cut down on the flour and I am getting one of my 5-a-day portions)
I've been sooooo busy and feel really sad that I can't keep up with you all at the moment, my blog too. It's 'sowing' season and every spare minute I get is usually spent dashing out to the greenhouse to sow some more seeds. It's not easy having an allotment !
I should have a bit of an easier week though, guides has finished for the easter break and I'm having a cook-a-thon today so that I don't have to spend tomorrow in the kitchen.
Re: size subject. I think we all have good and bad days, irrespective of what size we are, me included ! I'm definitely over in the 'fat camp' (my words, not intended to offend anyone xx) size 16 having lost nearly 2st in the last few months and really enjoying my new shape. I just hope I don't lose my boobies in the weight loss process :rotfl:. I still feel insecure sometimes but my 'sod what they think' attitude takes over. Now this is a first for me, never happened before, not sure if it's due to age maybe? But I am starting to not worry too much about what others think. Maybe that's the trick, I don't know?
Right pudding finished, carrot cake is calling (for DH to take to work) and I've got soup to make too so I must crack on.
Have a lovely Sunday evening everyone. Will try and 'natter' during the week xxx:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -
Hi everyone,
I'm new here and have read back through some of the old posts and you all seem like a lovely bunch.
I'm trying to make sure i dress up a little more as i got stuck in a rut of jeans, t-shirt and converse.
I love IC heels (although mine don't get the wear the deserve).
I hope to get to know you all.
