Ooh that would be lovely. Might have to be end of April time, chocka till then, but I'll let you know.Do you sell on ebay Alex? Apologies if you've mentioned it before, I might have missed it. If you've got old things that don't fit you now you've lost weight, get them on ebay girl!
All my old clothes are completely worn out :rotfl: I do have a bag of my brother's stuff that I must get round to listing though.0 -
MarzipanFish wrote: »Hi everyone,
I'm trying to have a bit of a declutter at the moment but i'm really hopeless at getting rid of stuff even (maybe even especially) if i'll never wear/use it again. It's stuff at my dad's house and i've not really worn 90% of it since i left for uni 4 years ago.
I've been spending the morning making a start on clearing out my mum's stuff. We lost her to cancer just over a year ago. A lot of her things we've just left as they were until now but today i have cleared the makeup drawer and most of the scarves/belts.
There's far too much stuff for me to keep (guess where my hoarding instincts come from...) but i feel bad getting rid of it.
I found some nice silk scarves which i will keep a couple of but does anyone want one? I will try get a picture up but the bluetooth thingy is being a bit crap
I also found a huge bag of moisturisor/anti ageing samples if anyone wants them... If they work then everyone here can be about 16 again with the amount i found!
Ahh hun im so sorryI went through the same thing with my great aunts things (who I was closer to than my mum- she was my second mother). As she was still in Glasgow and I lived in Warwickshire at the time I had to sell all of her furniture as it would have cost too much to ship down south and she had some lovely antique things...I regret selling most of it but I kept a few personal things I have some of her jewellery...its so hard though (((hugs))) x

tara, i was lusting after those pretty mugs in primark the other day, especially the pear one. I have tons of mugs though so can't really justify more.
I know, I love nice mugs and cups. I already have one of the geisha mugs so wanted some more to go with it. I absolutely adored GrammarGirl's china cup/teapot set from her Sunday Smiles blog post, they were beautiful!!!Oh that's awful
Shall we team up and rob a bank or something? I'm just sick to the back teeth of struggling by. I know I'm lucky that my rent is fairly low and I don't have that many outgoings but my wages are so crap that just a few extra things a month leave me with zip left over. Perhaps I should stop being sensible. If I didn't try and save anything that I could fritter money to my heart's content!
Sorry if I'm boring everyone, I'm just feeling sorry for myself
(((((hugs)))))
I am constantly torn between pretty things and saving!!!I try to strike a balance by having a few mini splurges now and again which make me feel better but don't cost too much. HTH xo

Has anyone tried the naked bodycare shampoo and conditioner? I'm trying to get away from all the SLS nasties but want something that will still clean my hair. Something that will maybe make it still look clean on day 2 aswell!:rotfl:0
