Handling the overripe bananas was really not pleasant for me but the cake defo seems worth it. Recipe is here.

Haa my Dad loves his food
so far he wants cheese scones, and a cake of some kind...I'm thinking perhaps a ginger cake. And a malt loaf. He won't get all that this week though, too much energy required! Def the scones as my Mum is fond of them as well, and either the cake or loaf!

I will! I have to locate the recipe first, but I'll post it up
Think I'm going to nap for an hour before the Tesco shop, else Mum'll be pushing me round in the trolley0 -

My mum makes an amazing ginger cake she won't give me the recipe for.....its gorgeous. Otherwise I heartily recommend the Nigella Chocolate ginger cake recipe. (from the Book Feast). It is delicious...just not as good as my mum's;)0 -
oh i need to go food shopping, i really need eggs..well, everything really..
then i can bake something nice, and start to take actual lunches to work again..think i may need to join the lunches to work thread, but based on how hopeless i've been with the NSD thread, perhaps i wont :S0 -
Am I the only person who cuts those thin ribbons out of the inside of clothes?
They can be annoying and I like to keep them in my sewing box for projects, but I'm amazed that the things I've got from ebay still have them on (even though they're used) even a strappy top where the ribbons were longer than the straps and very hard to keep out of the way.0
