daisy - hope the afternoon treats you well after your appointment this morning.
Haven't had a chance to read/catch up on blogs yet, have been clearing out and packing this morning,it's all becoming very very real now:eek: and no outfit to report yet except jeans and t-shirt, very boring but needs must for sorting through dusty cupboards etc*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -
Lost - I find most of my vintage bags have goldtone furniture but I wear silver jewellery. I know what you mean about seeing bags that seem nicer than the ones you've already got. I keep buying leather cartridge bags (second-hand ones) even though I must have loads of them already.
Queenie - When do you move?0 -
Ah, I just typed a long message and my page randomly went back. Stress!
I saw the most beautiful bag yesterday. It was soft grey leather with a big leather bow on the front. I've never seen a bag I liked more actually. But at £49 it wasn't to be. I still feel a little sad thinking about it.
It's an awful day here today, someone send some sun back this way!
Today i'm wearing:
Matalan leggings
Primark grey vest top
Topshop long vest top in dark grey with eiffel tower in light grey
and my brothers hoody. Was planning to changed this for my denim jacket when I went out but it's leather jacket time still.
About ebay - I got bad feedback ones because an item was too tight. I fail to see how that is my fault! I had the size and measurements up.0 -

Do you know what I think it is re: people looking? I've been very conscious lately of what people are wearing, not in a nasty way but just to see how they style themselves. I very rarely see anyone wearing colour, it's all jeans and black/dark hoody tops/jumpers/t-shirts. Although I'm not doing much on the colour front today
.
People aren't used to seeing others wear bright colours anymore and I think it causes a bit of a stir when they do. I noticed it when I wore my orange cardi and shoes, the amount of people that looked down at my feet, the shoes definitely caught their eye ! They couldn't see the cardi as it was hidden under my coat :rotfl:.
I think you might be right. I'm much nosier than I used to be and if I was less bashful, I'd be going up to people quite often and asking them where they've bought their shoes/dress/hat from! As a general rule, Liverpool is not a place where people dress soberly though so there's usually plenty of colour on show. I may have just been a bit ott in my patterned skirt and bright blue legs!I'm hoping to uncover some long lost vintage treasure I'd long forgotten but at the mo it's just boxes and boxes of vinyl records and vintage paperbacks.
Boxes of books ARE treasure!daisybella wrote: »I'm back, much later than hoped as appt was 10am but didn't get seen till gone half past!
Apointment was okay, one of those emotional ones though
Managed to get the teal nail polish that Alex got the other day in Boots using £5 no7 voucher
Hurrah! I do like No 7 nail varnishes, they're such good quality. Did the doc help with the stomach pains at all?0 -

ThanksTights fans, get yourselves to Dotty P. I think it's their "fashion tights" range and they're so cosy and so soft and lovely and thick. Love them to bits.

Alex- I love their polishes too, especially at that price! Doctor did indeed help as much as she could, gotta go back at the end of the week if no improvement, or indeed movement0

Daisy, glad your docs appt went well. xx
Can echo Alex on DP tights, they're great ! Very generous with sizing too and the belly bit actually covers ya belly instead of coming half way up ! :rotfl:
I've got a 'double outfit' day today :j. This afternoon's plans will see me popping to my friend's for a coffee, then after i've picked up DS from school, we're going for a run . First training session in prep for Race for Life. DDs are doing it with me, DS will come on his bike and follow. Not going too far to start with, just round the block which is about 1/2 mile. I've run before so know what I've got to do - I'll probably be in for a shock about how unfit I've become. I used to run 5k, 5 times per week ! I'm lucky if I can run for the blinkin bus at the moment:rotfl:.
Then, tonight, we have our allotment AGM so I might wear a dress ! Nothing too posh as it's very informal but I do have to put on a good front as I'm on the committee (fingers in a lot of pies). The old boys make me giggle with their moans and groans but they're a good bunch and always willing to lend a hand down on the plot if I need anything heavy moving during the week when DH is at work.
I can't get that darned coat out of my mind ...... someone stop me from buying it
Edit : just wanted to apologise for the very random 'thanks' I give - I always forget to thank posts, but I'm getting better ! Happy for people to remind me and give me a nudge once in a while x:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -
I'm jealous of the people who have sunshine! We have drizzle, although it is Scotland so what else did I expect? (Was sunny when I had to work yesterday!!)
I am now an eBay addict! Did talk myself out of bidding on a River Island top, was gorgeous but its sleeveless and I hate showing off my shoulders for some reason!
I am now adamant that I am going to get some colour in my life! Hmmm, where to start lol.
My skin has calmed down finally, still a few spots but nothing as bad as Friday, got my money back so I'm happy!0 -
Nikki, tights are a great way to start with colour!
Ugh, anyone want to wash my hair for me? I went out with it shamefully dirty earlier0
