Vicki - try Lily Lolo, their shades are brilliant, I even have one that suits my weird/pale skin perfectly. It does give good coverage if you layer it on. For everyday I just quickly brush a load on to cover my see-through skin but if I'm going somewhere I take a bit extra time (but prob no longer than liquid) to put it on in layers and the coverage is excellent and it lasts, more often than not it is still there when I wash my face at night. The finishing powder is good too and helps with coverage. Worth getting a sample maybe. Having a good brush helps, the one that comes in their starter kit is lovely.

I went to the local boot sale today, offspring no3 was upset that she hadn't got me a present so I thought there was bound to be something there. Wrong. I couldn't find anything - just missed out on a Yankee candle sampler and holder for 20p though grrr, would have been ideal - she bought a pink crystal fake Playboy necklace for £2 (new). On the way back to the car I remembered I don't allow her Playboy as she's 10. So not the greatest success!

No outfit post today as what I'm wearing doesn't qualify as an outfit!

    Hi gals,

Sorry not been on for a couple of days. Friday was an awful day at work and I was depressed and upset so just slobbed on the sofa. Unfortunately have to go back there tomorrow.......

Had a fab shopping trip with dh and dd yesterday. Got some lovely bits, and no black!! I'm improving lol. I have to say that I think I was most excited about the cutest red shoes I got for dd in Clarks (never pay that much for mine!!) and the red with pink spot rain mac she got in TK Max - sad mummy :rotfl:.

Anyway, off to put the above diva to bed and then will be back to catch up.

Isn't kidswear far more fun than grownup stuff? I keep spotting the most amazing things and wishing that I could just scale them up a bit (well, quite a lot).

Evening ladies, just been catching up on the chat from the last couple of days - all 15 pages of it!

Lost, so sorry to hear about your doggy.

Goan, another Jarvis fan here. I met him years ago, in the 80s. He was a friend of my friend's brother, and he was lovely. I've had a crush ever since!

Retro, what terribly sad news. My thoughts are with you.

Queen, it's always scary moving to a new city but hugely exciting at the same time. You'll be there and settle din before you know it.

Some yummy food being posted here today. DH is cooking dinner at the moment. I'm so hungry right now it's unreal. Bring on the food!

Had a mooch around the shops this afternoon, looking for some inspiration. I could do with some new shoes, and I've seen a few pairs in Office I rather like, but I hate paying full price for anything so I'll wait until there's a sale there. I might have to have a browse on ebay - I get paid tomorrow so I think I can justify a small spend.

Anyway, it was a dull and grey day today, so I thought I'd brighten it up a bit:
purple, yellow and white prom-style dress ( a bargainous £2 from New Look)
    black cardigan
    black pointelle lacy tights
and to finish it off, silver glitter peep toe shoes - like these ones http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OFFICE-VINTAGE-SILVER-GLITTER-MARY-JANE-HEELS-SHOES-7_W0QQitemZ130371256919QQcmdZViewItemQQptZWomen_s_Shoes?hash=item1e5abb8257

I think I may wear a dress for work tomorrow as well. Minus the glitter shoes.

Love the dress daisy. What a nice shape.

I love kids clothes too, so cute! How is it the kids things now are so lovely and everyone else had to have shameful childhood pictures. It doesn't quite seem fair!

I'm afraid I have just been to take the dog out in leggings, wellies, an oversized grey hoody and my hair scraped back. A crime to fashion indeed, I think the dog was a little embarrassed to be with me..
  • grrrr I've just had a claim opened against me via paypal for a buyer who claims her item was not as described, she said they were not in the same condition as the listing photo but has refused to provide photos of the damage, I offered to provide proof of postage so she could claim with royal mail and she asked me to do a claim on her behalf, which like a fool I agreed, bu explained it can take time for a claim to process through royal mail. She has now opened a claim stating that item was not a described...and then sent me a message thanking me for my help but she'll make a claim through paypal instead to get her money back quicker gggrrrrrr I'm so mad.

rant over and cig time me thinks gggggrrrr

Sorry to hear about your uncle retro. hugs.
PF and Daisy - big hugs to you both. Daisy I hope your appointment goes well tomorrow, will be thinking of you.
    Welcome Killie.
Queen - big moves will make you apprehensive but it'll be good and it's a whole new place of shops, jumbles and car boots to explore. Oh and I think I'm about to bid on at least 1 of your items.
Hope everyone else has had a good weekend.
I probably won't be around for the next few days as I'm away for a meeting.
