The very reason I've had a shaky couple of days retro! Someone once said to me that the hardest thing you can ever do is to accept and love yourself as you are. It's so true!

Last diet I went on, my target weight was calculated at 115lbs. Even if I starved, I'd have to cut a leg off to get to that weight! :rotfl:

All this target weight talk scares me a little. I'm just going to aim for a size 14 and see how I feel when I get there :) I'd personally find it really demoralising to set a numerical target - so much pressure to get to it!

That's the best attitude to adopt Alex, it's about how you feel not the number on the scale; or indeed any other number.

I shall catch up with everyone's blogs later, and update my own. Trying to get come course work done, slow progress due to running a virus scan and a zillion other things at the same time haha. Going to take my walk about 1pm to break up the day.

Have realised dad is off again the week after next, so need to think up more non outfit blog content.

Yeah good luck with the interveiw magpye :)

Tsabo- glad you now have a diagnosis and know what your fighting and can now look for positive things to help.

talking of weight i think everyone has an size they can just maintain, and mostly it isn't what you would wish for but as you get older you learn to like things about yourself more and become happier. i have been all sizes between a size 6 and 16 and the last 2 years have settled at about a 12. I have learned to be happy at that, and can maintain it, even eating and drinking mostly what i want.

Sadie_doll- I live in Kinross so by Loch Leven. It's beautiful here but still close enough to all the cities for retail and culture. I would never move back to England.

And Grr to people making comments about how we dress if they are not compliments.

I am dressed insanely boring today in black mainly.
    Black harem pants-River island
    black vest- primark
black cropped Che Guevara print Tee- 10p carboot
black fringy boots - nabbed out DD's wardrobe- origin unknown
hair insane since I got busy doing things and it dries naturally!!!

I agree with Alex, I hated setting a target!!

When I did slimming world last year I refused to, and my leader was fab about it. I lost nearly 2st in time for my wedding, but struggled with motivation afterwards, then spent the first half of the winter with one bug/virus after the other, so I have put about 1st back on :(. I don't think the slimming world plan in achievable in the long run tbh (well not for me) so I'm trying to do myself this time, and doing lots of exercise. Signing up for a Race for Life too, so I'll be getting lots of exercise. I want to be smaller maybe a 12-14 instead of my current 14-16!! I was tiny when I was younger (8-10) but had no confidence. Rather ironic that I'm actually happier with my body now than then.........

I only bought the scales after I joined sw and got all obsessed!! I've hidden them now lol.

My "ideal" weight according to those charts the doctors have is 8 stone 3lbs...i have been below that weight in the past (not through trying I wasnt eating, all problems with my ex etc) and I looked bloody awful the amount of comments I got were unbelievable as I looked ill...Im better with a bit of meat on me (or so I keep telling myself)

My ideal weight, and the one I feel best at is about 10 stone which puts me at a size 10-12.
I'm petrified of what it is going to take to get back there :(

Its much better to go with how you feel rather than a figure that others see you should be if that makes sense? I wanted to get to a 12 in jeans and Im there (well barely atm lol) but technically Im still 2 stone overweight...its ridiculous.
