Lost, he's not interested in fashion; it's pointless even pursuing that line of questioning. ;) I buy him nice clothes for his birthday and he spends all his time out of uniform in the same paint-spattered trackies and his favourite grey hoodie. Time to give up? (Also pretty immune to him 'not getting' my outfits at this point; quite frankly I'm sure he regards anything but underwear as not strictly necessary on me, which is kind of nice to be sure, if not a little indecent. :p)

I tend to stick to safe spaces when it comes to comments on body image, because some of the comments are so hateful and triggering.

I wouldn't question him on it...I'd just compare your ''not quite so hideous'' skirt with ...shudder...his jogging bottoms, and be content within yourself you almost certainly are doing better...then enjoy the attention in underwear.

In fact, why not do that to night, just put on some nice underwear (and shoes) and non chalantly start to do the ironing....he'll almost certainly hrlp you feel good about yourself.

Ooh sparkles! I am always tempted by things like that but knowing my luck, I'd end up with a load of stuff I hated. Quite fussy in my jewellery tastes.

    I love that, Lost!

Magpye, that Basse Mode looks very interesting. I'll study that in detail tomorrow.

Magazine-wise, I adore Living Etc., no people just stylish interiors and the occasional sleb (but not in a sycophantic way).

Oh, missing Relocation. Catch y'all tomorrow.
    Night night, lovelies!

  • thanks for the heads up magpye about bassee mode, think that will be one to watch out for.

I used to love magazines but tend not to buy them anymore for two reasons, firstly because they are sooo expensive, and secondly because on a bad day I can get onto compare and despair with the airbrushed models and end up feeling c*appy about myself.
*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*
No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!

    That mag does look interesting.
Alex (it was you wasn't it?) do swimming caps keep the water out of your hair? With mine being dyed now I can't risk leaving a pink streak behind me!

    Outfit for today -
long black skirt with a glittery thread - £7 New look years ago
    black cami - £1 Primark
magenta and black cardi in a tiny leopard print - £2.24 BHF shop
black/multi crochet hat with butterfly pin - me made, wool from charity shop
    black opaques
black leather biker boots - old - Tesco

Real life's taking over big time at the moment, not getting nearly enough time on here!

It was me! Mine ended up a little damp around the bottom of my hairline but I think that's more to do with the fact that I didn't stuff all my hair in properly than anything else. The rest of it was fine and stayed perfectly dry.
  • Evening ladies...I dont want to bring the mood down but I would like the space to say...men are !!!!!!!

    that is all.

They most certainly can be retro!

Thanks Alex, I'm trying to decide if I'm brave enough to wear one. I only have to look at a swimming pool and my hair is soaked through so there's no chance of me getting in and staying dry never mind actually having a swim!
