Ohhhh daisy that practically has my name on it (literally!)

Hi all, having another day feeling bad about myself but have decided to gussy up and not care.

    Deep pink lace tights (Asda)
White and metallic pink peep toe wedges (eBaying soon as they're slightly too small - Littlewoods)
    Purple vest top (La Redoute)
Black sequin detail t-shirt (Factory Shop)
Pink lace tiered skirt (Dotty P)

Husband's opinion of skirt was that it "wasn't as ****in' awful" as he first thought. :(

I never read fashion or gossip mags either, I find them so b!tchy and I never feel anywhere near good about myself after reading them. I like Lucky, because they focus on the clothes which are rarely modelled, but it costs the earth to subscribe because it's American.

Anyone heard of the potential new internet start-up Basse Mode, started by fashion bloggers? I've already offered my services. :p

Might be worth a look daisy, as you are looking to get into fashion journalism? The more you have contributed to, the better so far as journalism goes. I'm happy staying on the other side of the blue pencil, to be honest. If I could get back into subbing and typography, I would be so happy.

tell me, how were your husband's clothes today? ;)

never ever read a gossip mag, never intend to. I love your blogs all of you but every now and then I do miss a good gloosy. Agree that sunday times style and the Mail's you are enpugh to ease cravings most of the time. Mags make me want to spend ,money I don't need to....so no to magazines. I'm very with goan on body image: and in fact, have noticed in some blog comments things that make me feel really uncomfortable about them too. Usually I don't read the comments....only when things are referred too...because of that reason.

Lost, he's not interested in fashion; it's pointless even pursuing that line of questioning. ;) I buy him nice clothes for his birthday and he spends all his time out of uniform in the same paint-spattered trackies and his favourite grey hoodie. Time to give up? (Also pretty immune to him 'not getting' my outfits at this point; quite frankly I'm sure he regards anything but underwear as not strictly necessary on me, which is kind of nice to be sure, if not a little indecent. :p)

I tend to stick to safe spaces when it comes to comments on body image, because some of the comments are so hateful and triggering.
