I have the Primark ones and they're going strong after 3 months :) I just take the laces out and wear them as slip-ons, much nicer imo.

    Thats a good idea too!

rofl, I have everything in storage and still need to declutter. I'm ashamed to say we've had to take ANOTHER container to prepare for the move, we have a narrow sort of alley to walk through the bedroom, surrounded by boxes. I can't get to the wardrobe or drawers, so am wearing the same clothes and washing....:o I probably even have some flat shoes in the wardrobe if I could get there...

I'm constantly declutterting and clearing out my wardrobe, think its the hazards of car booting anf jmbling when things are so cheap it would be a crime not to buy:o

Bit gutted as the gorgeous dress, white with big pink/ red rose pattern on from the jumble is a bit too big, it has straps but these come off so its a bit loose but am going to try it with a red belt around the waist to see if it helps.

    Todays outfit:

    Red tulip skirt £2.00 Ebay
    Navy tshirt Matalan £1.50
    Black pumps George £4
    White crop cardi M&S £9.50
    Red rose studs George £1.50

I was nauughty again today and bought more costume jewellery, it was half price in Asda so didn't blow the budget though!
Got a few bracelets, some earrings and a swallow necklace which was my favourite and at £1.75 a steal.

It's the wedding tomorrow, I'm a bit annoyed that yesterday BIL told DH that it's a white wedding, which made me lol, but they mean snowy theme. I'm going to look the absolute part in my wedge sandals and maxi aren't I? After a bit of googling I can deduce that the show is "The Wedding House" sounds better than I had anticipated but we will see...

I've made last minute plans to visit my parents this week, who live about a mile from the hospital that DB is at, I did send her a letter Friday but don't know when it will get to her with my mobile number and asking her if she is up to visitors. Would someone who has her number be able to pass on mine to her just in case she doesn't get my mail in time?

Vicki - hope the wedding goes well, will be thinking of you.

Well gas man came at noon, 'fixed' boiler, then when I ran the shower the water was still freezing. He returned after about an hour, tried to change a part and accidentally broke a valve - aaaaaaaargh! So I got a cab to the pool I swim in, had a shower there and got to the office at 4ish.

He's ordered the part and will come back again tomorrow to try to fix it. Another afternoon away from the office, it's the last thing I need right now.

    Could cry.

    Sorry for moaning!

    xx

Ah Sarah I know what you are feeling. 3 years ago when we moved into this house our boiler broke down in a very cold February. We managed for a month with no central heating or hot water. I spent my bonus on a new boiler, it was miserable!

Wow - a month! I'm such a lightweight not being able to go 2 nights without my home comforts! :)

Ah you get used to it, I was lucky in that I was helping a friend paint her house at the time so in return I showered at hers before going home!
