You could try making a savoury curry or tagine, adding the plums instead of the usual apricots.0

I hope someone here can help me, my plum tree has given me loads of plums this year and so far I have stewed some and froze them, but there is now another batch waiting to come off and I would like to know if I could slice and freeze them for later use. Did jam last year with them but dont want to do this again this year, any suggestions?Went BR 25th May 2007 at 12.33, OR Interview now done. BSC No 880

I've frozen plums before and they were very good. Chutney is a possibility. Bottling, I saw a thread about doing that in the microwave - somewhere!
If you have the space freezing is a good option. It means that if you want to make jam or chutney later, all you need to do is freeze them. They should last you through to the next crop.
Lucky you .. I have no fruit trees and I would love some.0 -
plum chutney is lovely - my mum makes Delia's and it is addictive stuff! The longer you leave it the better it tastes!0

My parents kindly gave me a large bowl of plums fresh from their garden. I don't want to waste them as they are sweet and delicious. I'm not sure of what to do with them. Does anyone know of any recipes that will be good to use them all up. TIA!0

Hi thrifty_sue,
This older thread might give you some ideas:
