I am trying but I'm so rubbish when I'm stressed and with 2 special needs children that seems far too often, so I've set myself a strict budget for next month to try to stop buying things I don't need for the sake of it and to try to ensure that I manage to do it I'm going to transfer all my salary to my savings account next month bar the budget on the hope that if it's not easy to get the cash I won't.0 -

Redruby - sounds like you have nearly completed all your renovations to your house.
Oh I so wish that was the case:o, but we have a huge long way to go yet, I think it will take the best part of a year, we have done quite a lot, but a lot of it is stuff you cant see, but we will get there eventually

Why not open a savings account just for you so that you can treat yourself once in a while, such as having a spa day or massage.
Then at least you have something to aim for and by the sounds of it you really need a bit of pampering just for a changeBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Hello folks.
I am still on the face of the planet, just been struggling to get everything done, so something had to give - and posting on the Daily was it.:(
I don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of catching up with events, so here's a whole heap of ((((HUGS)))); help yourself if you need/want one.:o
Had an email from Molly Dog's owner yesterday; he'd like us to have her for 16 days from 23rd July. I can't wait!!:j:j:jIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi All.
Very late on for me today as I was rushing round this morning. I didn't have to start until later this morning and it threw me as I thought that I had loads of time then I ran out of it :rotfl:
I would like to say to all the working Mums that you have my undying praise & admiration :A :T :A:T I don't know how you do it. I am absolutely shattered since I started on this course on Monday and would gladly go to bed at 8pm if I could. I'm hoping that it's the change over from being at home and that I'll get used to it - next week or tomorrow would be nice
:)
I met DS3 after I finished today and we went swimming which was lovely. We also had tea at the baths so no cooking tonight. I'm sure my kitchen wonders what's hit it  I seem to have done no more than breakfasts and lobbed something together for tea each night. DS2 is at my parents for tea & they'll bring him back later on. He wanted Dad's help with some business studies coursework so no doubt they'll be chewing that over together as I type.
Rabbit Take it easy on yourself & you're doing the right thing taking it each day at a time.
Lamewolf Nice to see you I was wondering how you were.
Massive hugs to everyone else. I'm going to have a very quick surf then get the ironing board up whilst listening to Radio 4.
Sorry for the moaning folks

Evening All,
I am reall late posting today but got here in the end. Hope everyone who has had this awful bug feels better. Its 2 wks tomorrow since I started and still feel a bit sick!
Well went for the dreaded MRI scan of my spine this morning. Luckily DH came with me. It was awful, lasted 40 mins and made me feel real shaky and headachey. I am already dizzy most of the time and just wouldn't have been able to drive home. I was really glad he was there and just don't know what I would do without him he is definitely an :A Just hope that they can see what they need to see and give me a diagnosis. I think not knowing is the worst thing:(
Not been up to much today, DH and DS3 sorted themselves out and I feel to sick to eat, might manage an ice lolly later!
Sorry, bit of a miserable post but I feel better for getting it off my chest. Will be back to my usual positive self tomorrow. Off to watch masterchef and try and drum up an appetite.
Have a good evening xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
Working hard to get rid of our debt.0 -
Not a very constructive day due to the sleet. I sorted out the boot room this morning, swabbed the floor, moved the freezer under the window and put the drawer unit in there. Made room for tool box and the drills etc.
This afternoon I tackled the window in the guest room, its not in very good condition, the wood is rotting, someone has tried to patch it up with wood filler and made a right mess of it. I have washed both nets curtains off the windows at some time tomorrow I need to go down each side of the nets and overlock them to stop them fraying.
I am enjoying the kitchen now its tidy, I sorted out the wicker baskets with the cleaning stuff in, I need to make a curtain for the front of the shelves, looking at some cheap gingham, shabby chic style.
Supper tonight corned beef salad and bananas and icecream.......
Tomorrow OH has an appointment at the Drs about his cough, we will go on into Haddington to Aldi and get 2 weeks fruit and veg. I have enough in the freezer to last 2 weeks without doing any shopping--Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0
