Just taking a quick break from writing invites.....was starting to get writers cramp and didn't want to smudge my proper ink pen :)

Have emptied the fridge freezer to defrost it....will take the hairdryer to it soon! Have rescued some cooked chicken & pastry which will be made into a couple of chicken & leek pies to go back in when it's all fresh & ice-free :)

WM on, one load on the airers, ironing pile slowly growing but will tackle that tonight while watching property p0rn on C4 :) OH is away until either late tomorrow or sometime Friday..... means I can eat what I want when I want without having to cater for him too! :D

Need to drag Dyson out from hiding behind the ironing board in the cupboard, we've got so many dust bunnies under our bed it's like Watership Down :rotfl:

Hugs to all who would like one, and to those who haven't posted but may be lurking.... :grouphug:

    Afternoon all,

Hugs to all in need or want for whatever reason, especially those who are not feeling 100%...hope that you all feel better soon.

OH to Warfarin clinic this morning so we had the compulsory 'breakfast' out....at 11.30, so that means just 2 meals to-day, the way OH likes to eat. Fish, potatoes and okra later on for OH, I will finish the stew that we had from freezer yesterday, can't put it back and stew is one of my favourite meals anyway.

Washing one load every day at present, means that I can spread each load out well inside to dry, nothing will dry outside at present.

DD4 got her new car on Monday ( silver Clio ) and is well pleased with herself....she had ordered a 3 door but there was some delay on them coming in so the garage gave her a 5 door for €900 extra...her old car needed tyres and a service if she was going to keep it for even a few weeks and she actually paid €2000 less than I did for mine when new in 2002!

We had some snow yesterday which didn't stay around, to-day is not quite as cold, there is even a hint of Spring in the air...Kerry has torn stuff up all over the driveway and wrecked some of my planters, need to get out there for a bit to do a bit of a tidy, no seeds sown yet either, need to get my tomatoes done this weekend at latest.

Off to have a cup of tea to keep me going until dinner around 5.

    Have a good day all

Im here Sunnyday - thank you for asking after me x

I have been reading all the posts and keeping up but feeling a little anxious and low again. I have just had a lovely morning with Mooloo though and we had a cuppa and mooched round a garden centre and it was great to catch up with her. There were some very pretty primroses and primulas that reminded me that spring is just around the corner.

I hope those with this horrid tummy bug start to feel better soon xx

Wow manic morning here at Chez Bitsy. After school run I had two friends pop round with their young children so we had 5 kids running amok around the house. Am cream crackered now and I still have to put the vac round; toys are now tidied away.
So OS has been non existant this morning. Made some Millies style cookies last night for kids and guests today and that was about it. I need to hang a load of jumpers and re-boot the washer. By the time I've posted on here and done that it will be pick up time at school!!
Quite bright here which is nice. Despite all the snow last night it didn't really settle and most that was left over from the other day has melted :T Feels a bit warmer today which nice.

Right my mum has just turned up for a coffee. Will try and check back in later. Hugs to those that need them.

    Afternoon everyone

Lovely and sunny here today, makes me feel so much brighter. Picked DS2 up from school and got a friend over for tea. Been quite a busy day at work, there is talk of changing my days which would be better for me as would get to finish early on a Friday instead of working till 5pm.

Wm on, washing up from breakfast pots have been left by DS1 after I asked him to do them as he wasn't at work today, came home still on the worktop, so I will have to do them, as he has gone out, no note or text again so have no idea if he is in for tea:mad:. Need to prep meal for tomorrow so I can put into slow cooker at breakfast, also want to make a weetibix cake and some more soup.

MSD - Can you please come and live at my house and get me organised.
    Happy Birthday to Morwena
Happy Birthday Jack - Hope you enjoy your cake.
JackieO - I do love reading about Basil, makes my day.
Redruby - sounds like you have nearly completed all your renovations to your house.
rabbit8587 - welcome, sorry to hear of your problems with ex bf, you are right to just take things a day/hour at a time.

    Jackieglasgow - Welcome to Coco.
MMM - Enjoy your new breadmaker.
Csarina - Sounds like you got loads done whilst your DS was visiting.
Nessie - Hope your DH got on okay at hosp.
Tiredmum - Enjoy your your time with your friend. I am still in touch with a friend from playschool, has been over 40 years now, we only manage to meet up once or twice a year as she lives over 250 miles away.
NPM - Hope you feel better soon, enjoy the rest of your week off. The image of the amaryllis plant made me laugh:rotfl:.
Flutterbyuk - Glad you are on the mend.
    Molly41 - Sending ((Hugs))

Enjoy the rest of your day. Hugs to anyone that needs or wants one. Take Care.

  • Hello

I'm a bit rubbish at this posting lark, I only joined last week and then I forget to say anything for 3 days!

I'm trying hard at being more OS and trying to stop buying things I don't need but have failed miserably so far this week, as we had a letter on Sat telling us that there was no space for our littlest son at a special school that we had been assured a place at. So big panic and stress as he really can't cope in mainstream school which has ended in takeaways this week and me shopping with my friends to try to take my mind off things...No the most constructive thing I could have done!

However this morning I received a phone call from admissions telling me that they accidentally sent me the wrong letter as it was typed in a rush on Friday so they could go home for the weekend and that he does have a place after all.

So after all that stressing there was nothing to worry about although I hope they hadn't sent a letter to another family telling them they did have a place when they didn't.:(, I have been good today and sent back most of the things I don't need except for a pair of Red or Dead boots:o

I think tea today will be bacon and vegetable omelettes as we seem to have loads of eggs to use up and I have to go to work at 7 so it will be quick and easy.

Sorry if I've been babbling but it's such a relief

    Afternoon peeps

Well I've managed to drink loads more today and eat a small amount of pasta and small piece of toast so I must be on the mend. Still not quite right so am staying off work tomorrow too. I don't feel safe to drive at moment, and work involves driving a minibus with 13 teenagers in it!

I'm bored out of my mind though! I haven't got the energy to do anything really but I may go mad if I am stuck in here all week. I may get my mum to come over tomorrow with some magazines for me. I've finished yet another book. I'm not well enough to look at the computer for a long period so that means no ebaying or looking for holidays.

I've done 2 small loads in the WM which are drying on the airer, and the BM is about to finish, the smell isn't turning me! I've wiped the kitchen surfaces over too, but no more as I don't want to do too much.

A friend was meant to be coming to stay for the weekend but I think we are going to have to cancel as I have no energy to do anything we had planned and I need to recouperate as I am away with work next week tues to friday. Such a shame as I was looking forward to it :( but her coach tickets only cost £2 so she isn't loosing out on much money!
