Ours is mostly on 17 during the days. At night we turn it so low that it doesnt come on (around 13). Its set so it just comes on if the temperature drops below 17. I sometimes move it up to 18 though when Im reeaaally cold but if Hubby sees it he just turns it down lol. :rotfl:Weight loss November 09-January 10: [STRIKE]13lbs[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]20lbs[/STRIKE] 27lbs! :j0

My Oh loved our old house we used to have an aga than ran the central heating system, even on the coldest days you could have all the doors and windows open, and she would feel the temp was just right while I was considering lining the house with pine and putting in a few benchs for a massive sauna.

That had me in stictches.
We more or less agree on around 20C, maybe 21 or so. When I was pg he loved being able to turn the thermostat down as I found it too warm...lol.The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0 -
we always agree. if were cold it goes on. we don't have any set temp. timer comes on 6-7 in morning then 4.30/6pm( depending on if kids having baths ) till 10 at night. sometimes we over ride it if were cold, some times were put an extra jumper on, were both very easy going about it.
the 1 thing i always do tho , no matter what the weather is sleep with our bedroom window slightly open as i can't stand a stuffy airless bedroom. hubby doesn't mind tho as i'm the one who sleeps by window so i feel the draft which is wonderful. i love it.0 -

Oddly we reverse our temperatures likings when on holiday.
We did Egypt in august last year and it was close to 50 degrees in the shade, I loved it and coped just fine, and she struggled.0 -
My Hubby wouldn't dare touch the boiler except to turn it on :rotfl: We have 4 kids (2,3,7,8) and me who has joint probs (and I REALLY feel the cold) so we keep the house warm all the time and he doesn't mind at all. Its never excessively on and if its a really cold day i'll light the fire in the living room too

We usually have the fire lit most evenings as its cheaper to warm us that way as we get the logs very very cheap :T
So in a long winded answer :rotfl: he's not brave enough to moan about the heating although he does joke about how early after summer the heating goes back on again :rotfl:Wife to a great husband and mum to 4 fantastic kids 9,8,4,3 they drive me mad but I would do anything and give everything for my family :grinheart

Not something worth arguing about tbh.
I like to be cosy, but I will have a cardi on or something before turning the heating up.
I like the house to be warm so the kids aren't cold, and OH hates getting up in the morning if it's cold. I know some people sleep wth the windows open even in the middle of winter...to me that's madness!!!!:rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. I'm in charge of setting the times on our boiler, so it's on between 6&8am and then 5-10pm.
If my mum is looking after DD at our house the heating is on all day same if DH is at home, but if I'm at home I just cope 8-5, covering up in a blanket or putting a jumper on if necessary.
In the summer I'm getting a thermosat installed as we have to rely on valves on the radiators and I can't get it into my DH's head that they don't need to be on max all day everyday.Proud to be dealing with my debts
