Parking Eye - Nasty tricks

II am so angry I am going to do what all Englishmen do when faced with adversity....I am going to write a letter, not to Parking Eye as that would be a waste, but to Sports Direct, Next, Peacocks, Halfords, Hobbycraft,Pet city & Laura Ashley as they must have appointed Parking Eye to spy on the customers so I will complaining about the way they treat their customers and stating that I will never visit the retail park again....
That should sort them out.

Exceedingly bad advice in my opinion.
Always direct your efforts towards the principal, especially when the principle is engaged in a lawful business and has something to lose and a reputation to protect.
As many of us know Private Parking Companies have no reputation of any value worth protecting and they care not a jot about lawful operation.
Also, the principal has liability for their agent. Use that fact.0 -
What will writing to them achieve....zero or very little [imo].
There is no need, simply ignore all letters from them. Park where you want on private land and ignore everything.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -

No.
My posts asking people what remedies they suggest for landowners with parking issues is me trying to understand things a bit more and play devil's advocate.
Ignore, ignore, ignore is indeed what I tell people, but that in no way means that I think it's 'fair' on landowners who have parking issues - hence why I keep asking what people suggest landowners can do. Bollards! :rotfl:
Bollards to you too!!!!
I know bollards work; it's just that often people very easily say 'tough doo-doo, the landowner should do 'xxx'', when they see the landowner as Tesco, but when it's themselves suffering their approach tends to change somewhat.
I for one wouldn't want to have to install a bollard to park on my own land, but we all seem very dismissive of 'landowners' who have to do similar [reminds me of the SWP when i was at uni...all land owning is theft, lol].
I know most clampers are scum and most PPCs are intolerant jobs worths, but I'm not sure the landowner is as culpable...after all they are merely trying to solve their parking problem.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I've read a few posts from people who enjoy the 'sport' of engaging PE and other PPCs in dialogue whilst having no intention of paying. There is absolutely no point; their business model will be based on a certain percentage of people paying. I doubt if they care whatsoever about the majority who do not pay. When the break even treshold of payers/non-payers is reached they will pack up and do something else.
I now deliberately use PE sites whenever I can; this can save on pay and display charges and the time is limitless.0 -
In a way, I wanted one for my desk at work. Has my ma around when I got mine, and she was flipping out a bit accusing me of being careless. Have now used here to educate her, and shown what will come in the next few weeks. Suddenly understands it all now, and plans to spread the word amongst friends.0

That depends on who you target in the principal company and how you write your letter.
I would not waste any time at all in writing to a Private Parking Company, the principal is a horse of a different colour.0
