Parking Eye lose case.
Oh my life, have you seen the comments on that article? On the basis of those comments alone, I would have to say that the readership consists of racists and the mentally challenged.
ETA: lol, sorry Coupon-Mad, can't we just get someone to lock it??0 -
hi all well a couple of months ago i worked for a next store in cowley/oxford i never noticed the parking signs but the store mananger took my car reg and said i wouldnt get fined for parking all day so i thought no more of it until the £60 charge cropped up i e.mailed parking eye giving them store and manager details
reply said they wanted proof i worked there so took the paperwork to next they said it is not unusual for parking eye to ignore requests to cancel tickets but they would write to P E again now a month later the £90 charge has appeared so i sent P E a very strong e.mail explaining that next is a client of theirs and they need to listen to there clients and not threaten me or i will go to the press about the poor service they offer their clients and if they send baliffs/debt collectors round i will take the manager of P E to court just had e.mail back saying they will give me 14 days to provide proof
what a joke i think i'll call their bluff and sit it out0 -
John- you have just provided further proof, if further proof were required, (which it isn't) that there is no way of reasoning with a Parking Scammer whose only interest is in grabbing your money.
You have made the mistake of contacting them (not a good idea) now go for Plan B- treat them with the contempt they deserve and ignore them. Better yet send them a final letter telling them they can spin on it, and put it in an envelope with no stamp. They soon get the message when they are paying £1.50 a time to get abusive mail.0 -
dont shout pleaseeeeeeeeeeee!!! i have recieved a second parking eye fine (1st one paid a couple of months ago not realising the scam but admitting i was over on the time slightly) but parking in the same space, same carpark the second fine has come through but i have a valid ticket showing i paid for 4 hours and they are fining me for 2 hours within my stay (fining me for leaving at 1pm but ticket shows i paid till 3pm)......so will you let me appeal and cant i take this further to show i can prove they are scammers???0

We do care, but we know they're scammers. They know they're scammers, but they don't care.
If you still consider it a fine, then you need to pay. If you now consider it a scam, then you needn't. I respect your decision. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

Hello, welcome to MSE!
Before you consider placing a reply here -
PLEASE DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!
This thread is VERY OLD & ANNOYINGLY, POINTLESSLY LONG, please do not reply here.
In fact even reading this old thread for long is a waste of your time. We have threads from today!!
The reason why I am asking this is things alter in the parking world - also it is easier to follow and offer advice in our current threads - why not read them instead?
