Do EDF owe me money?
Options
Hello, I am really worried at the moment as I believe EDF owe me a large amount of money, several phone calls have proved unsuccessful. This problem started last August when I switched from pre-payment to quarterly billing with Direct Debit taken monthly, the first quarterly bill stated I was in a large amount of credit which they said was a mistake but cannot give me a valid reason for the mistake. The second quarterly bill came in saying I owed £400, when I phoned EDF about this they told me they had not been taking the monthly direct debit because they was taking out of the money they owed me (Can you see the contradiction?) They said they didn't owe me any money but then they said they were taking the monthly DD from the money they owed me, PLEASE HELP! I'm going round in circles and I would really like this sorted.
P.S I still have the original copies.

If you could scan them (omitting all the juicy stuff, like meter number, name & address) then perhaps others could form an opinion, but at the moment there is nothing much to go on.
If you were on prepayment prior to going onto a credit meter it is highly unlikely that you built up a £400 credit - as prepayment meters aren't supposed to do this.0 -
Thanks for the quick reply, here is the link for the EDF bill

We can see a name and meter number in that image. You should probably remove them.0

Ok, so it looks like a mistake, then why did they say "we will take your monthly DD charge out of the money we owe you", i just don't get it :mad:0
