    Hi everyone
Lots of reports of NSDs today :j:j
Keiss - glad you're feeling a bit better, shame about the trip tomorrow, but hope you have a good lunch anyway. Colds always come along at the worst time :mad:
BigMumma - I love the Zummerzet accent as well - either that or Devon is my favourite:)
katenut - well done on reining in the spending, hope you enjoyed your day off:j
Managed another NSD here today, next two are definitely going to be spends though:(:(.

Good luck to everyone for tomorrow.

Working from home tomorrow, so that will be one (I hope)

What do you mean about Glasgow accenys Jinty, I'm very posh, you know abit Billy Connelly meets Ewen McGregor with the odd hey Jimmy thrown in...................

Hi there PDD - no insult intended, I actually love a Weegie accent, but my OH can sometimes talk ten-to-the-dozen! :rotfl:

hi all won't be a NSD for me as DD and i have to go to church to set up the new laptop and projector so will need bus fare. we're going during coffee morning (which is why DD is coming. i don't have a 2year old IT genius i'm afraid) so will put some money in the pot for DD to have toast and pop while we're there.

    Hi Guys

Wasn't a NSD for me yesterday. Went out with friends last night for a meal. I said 'yes' to it ages ago. This particular friend, who organises things, invites me to something at least once a week - usually theatre, concerts or meals out and I'm always saying no - mainly because I'm too flipping stingy and also because we don't always have the same taste. Anyway last night seemed good value for money and there was a live band on that I was quite interested in seeing / hearing.

I did my research ahead of time and found that the restaurant did a good value fixed price menu - yipee!. I drove so no taxi or wine costs. I'd had a word with the organising friend before-hand regarding the settling of the bill. I always am a little embarressed by that bit but I really dislike eating and drinking £20's worth and then being asked to chip in to the tune of £30+ because everyone else has had wine, and then I get asked to drive one of them home! I don't mind if everyone is having same number of courses and roughly same drinks...but I was going with prolific wine drinkers.

Anyway he was fine about it and handled it at the end of the night. He worked out (and he was right) that my food/drink was £18.30 and I was more than happy to put £20 towards the bill...........I just don't like the pss being taken out of me by people who often earn more than I and think I'm being pedantic. Don't know why the heck I'm waffling on about this as it was fine last night - I just get wound up by the whole issue. LOL

It was a good night and the food wasn't bad either and for once I didn't have to play taxi...................but not a NSD.

Think today might be a NSD but not sure yet. Have to renew my passport fairly quickly and may go and get my mug-shot tonight :D so I can post it tomorrow and stop worrying about it

Friday will be a NSD :) but am in London Saturday afternoon to Sunday morning and although I won't be going overboard I of course will be spending........a girl has to eat!

I was supposed to be out today but my muskulls ache & my head is a muzz. Plus I've had three fillings fall out over the past two weeks & I'm trying to hang on till I go to the dentist next week :( Perhaps I'll get lucky & PDD's aliens will come for a probe--anything's got to be better than tooth-induced ear-ache :o

It's a shame so many folk are under the weather, given the weather has improved somewhat--how's that for irony :p--but if we ask nicely, maybe Horace will share holiday memories of exotic climes, to cheer us all up :D

I so agree with your sentiments on paying for someone else to have a good time Curly; I don't need to drink alcohol to have a good time so inevitably end up driving but rarely get offered money towards the petrol, regardless of whether I would take it or not. I also like to try different things & usually something on the lower end of the price list, so why should I fund a gold-encrusted lobster truffle for someone else
