Well done on stopping smoking Lollypop75. You will certainly save lots of pennies...yet aother great reason to stop! I have been trying to persuade my li'l sis to abstain for years...but it really is up to her to stop I suppose...some day perhaps. :)

Today is my first NSD since last weekend! :j

Yesterday was quite a big spend day, with many birthday, mothers' day and "well-done" presents bought/ordered. At least after this month, that's the major glut of my birthdays over for another year. Though there are two important ones at the end of April...a 50th and a 90th! Will be knitting some fun fingerless gloves for one and cross-stitch gifts for both and and the materials for all of them already.

Doing (yet another!) inventory of the freezers, fridge and cupboards so I can plan meals for the next few weeks....want to get this done before lunch so I can sort out my DS1's bedroom this afternoon. It has been used as a bit of a dumping-ground the past month or two, so have to get it sorted before he comes home from Uni next weekend!

Have a great weekend everyone...planning another NSD, tomorrow, despite on having two meals out...wish me luck! :)

Number 7 for me today, should meet my target OK hopefully. Fell off the wagon spectacularly yesterday though - went into town just to get new undies and things, and ended up maxing the credit card :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Haven't quite got over the shock of spending money yet, it's been a long time. I haven't even dared get the receipts out of my purse yet - I need to update my snowball but think I might cry if it puts our DFD back! I used to think nothing of going on a shopping spree and spending money on stuff I didn't really need, but now I have the voices of all you lovely MSEers in my head every time I put something in my shopping basket!! :D
Trying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon ....

Today I managed NSD number 7. I had, i think, three days of spending, it's actually a relief not to spend...it always used to be the other way around. I'm very grateful to the thread, the people on here and the originator of it because it is really helping me.

Plus I stopped smoking this week. It's only been a few days but so far so good. That's a huge achievement for me, and will save me a lot of money over the rest of my life.

5 days into the month, and 4 NSDs for the challenge for me (3 of which have been total NSDs, as no regular payments out of the bank either).
Oh Wow!! Didn't realise it was so long since I'd updated on here

As of yesterday (so 8 days on) my NSD count has only climbed to 7..... so a baaaad 8 days for me!! It hasn't been helped by the fact that on 2 of these days I was at work for final Whoopsies, so grabbed meat and bread products as they hit the lowest price they were going to get too - and I came home from work another day to discover DS1 had finished the milk so I had to go out for that!!

At work until close again today, so not sure I'll clock up another NSD today either:o

BUT I'm then off work for a week, and the first week of this month (which was also holiday) saw me clock up 5 - so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for another good one this time around (although I'm likely to be spending on a night out catching up with an old work colleague one evening, and am out at a concert next Sunday which means bus fare at a minimum - so in all honesty don't expect to manage more than 3 or 4 this time around)
