  • Back on the wagon today after 2 spend days. :D Tomorrow will be spending as I need to get mother's day pressie for mum-in-law as OH is too bloody lazy (or skint as he reckons) so at least this way she gets some nice flowers and wine, it would have been chocs but she is on a permanent diet.

Hoping for a no-spender on Sunday though to even it out.
All the coffee in Columbia won't make me a morning person... :D:p

Another NSD yesterday :j- this is very addictive! Halfway to March target.:j I was nearly going to go out for a wander , but I'm learning to knit ( at the ripe old age of 50!) so I anchored myself to the sofa and got on with it! Did 2 8in squares for the knit your square challenge - so v chuffed!
Well done on the NSDs, jintyb, and on learning to knit - it's never to late to learn. Knitting's a great distraction and you can make all sorts of things once you have some experience (and confidence:)).

Its a NSD for me to-day, getting very crafty, ordered the shopping online from Mr A last night and am working from home to-day so won't go out. The aliens are taking me over, slowly.....
Come on, pure dead dopey, I think it's time you shared your aliens out among the rest of us, you can't keep them all to yourself :rotfl:

    Hi everyone

Good morning folks - sunny and warmish here - nice start to the weekend.

I aimed for a no spend week, and managed it. Very pleased with myself. (I even overcame the temptation to buy a tin or 2 of lager to watch the football with mid week lol ) 1/2 way to my march target :)

    ....mother's day pressie....flowers and wine....chocs....on a permanent diet....
Flowers make me sneeze, I don't drink wine & they'd eat more of the sweeties than I would! Other years I've had new number plates for the car [they were an advisory on the MOT so needed them], a water filter jug & a breadmaker :j Told them they've got a lot to live up to, so I've suggested refill cartridges for said filter, gro-bags a la Best Recommendation publication--which ;) one is that I hear you cry :D--or just wait for the comp albums that come out around Fathers Day cuz I prefer them to the carp mums are "supposed" to like :rotfl:[Their dad likes the mummy ones so it kinda balances out; often wonder what I ever saw in that plonka :undecided]

Had another NSD yesterday! Won't get one today, but should tomorrow.

Plus I stopped smoking this week. It's only been a few days but so far so good. That's a huge achievement for me, and will save me a lot of money over the rest of my life.
