:TCongratulations to those who already have a few NSDs under their belt. :T

No NSDs yet this month, but I knew that would be the case.

Here's hoping I won't be spending much more this week...will have to post DH's niece's birthday pressie to Canada later this week..I'll post it on Friday when I have to top up the F&V for the weekend.

I still have to knit a pair of fingerless mittens for her...but that will not take long. I got a fun storage box for her today, which I am filling with different bits and pieces. There's lots of Avon bits and pieces that my friend sold me at a vastly reduced rate...she doesn't do much Avon any-more and has a box of odds and sods. Got some nice make-up, as well as some brushes and nail buffers. I hope she has fun unwrapping everything...she will be 26! Her dad died in November last year, so it has been a difficult time for all of us.

Right, will stop now and cast on the first of the gloves...should finish it tonight and will get the other done tomorrow...a nice, easy, but useful present. I am really pleased, as all this will cost me about £8 in total, we usually spend about £20. At full price, there is way over £30 in Avon stuff to start with! I might raid my friend's box for my niece in October...she will be 17. Girls are so much easier to get things for than boys!!

I hope to report tomorrow as my first NSD in March....with Thursday and the whole weekend looking good too.....just a few things to get on Friday...

Trying to limit my shopping to just a few days really makes me think more about when and how much I spend...must be good! :D

Fell short last month BUT managed today without even thinking about it too much. Realised at about 4pm I hadn't spent anything! I'm definately getting into the cooking and shopping mindset.

I'm pleased to say it's NSD number 2 for me today. I'm hoping to make it three in a row tomorrow because it's likely to go down hill towards the end of the week.

Another NSD for me, i think i've hit the ground running this month , let's see how long it lasts :p.

    Well done everyone :T

Keiss, sorry to hear about your loss, glad your family have all rallied round :).

You knit very quickly if you can have the gloves finished in one evening :). I've been thinking about taking up knitting recently, i can follow very simple patterns, if i attempted a pair of gloves it'll properly end up with 12 fingers on each glove :D. Have a good NSW :T.

Thanks Solvent, another NSD, had some healthy grapes instead of some of that gorgeous, luscious, creamy, delectable chocolate  :D. I feel better for it too :D.

Thanks coffee-break for your kind wishes...it has been hard being on the other side of the world (he and sis-in-law lived on an island in Vancouver Bay). She is coming over in May I think to have a memorial for him with the family on this side of the pond (I think she might be bringing some of his ashes to scatter, not sure though).

As to the knitting, the gloves don't have fingers...and I got the patern link from this knitting thread. I know it is a huge thread, but the folk are wonderful and you get lots of lovely patterns (or links to them!).

...will go and hunt for the link...here it is! A simple pattern, but quite effective...I have done two pairs so far and plan on making lots more...I wear the first pair I made every day, what with the cold weather we've had this winter!

Not sure if I will get much knitting done this evening after all, as I have spent too long on here...oh well, I will get the casting on done as well as a few rows done before bed.

Night night everyone...have a good week!
