    oh dear

well my mum has picked an outfit that isnt the same as the colour scheme for the wedding but it goes with it...if you see what I mean

    Its a complimenting colours :)

I dont think it really matters to be honest, I would just say a complimenting colour is better so they dont stick out too much :D

why is she being a pain?

A complimentary colour is usually the way to go....although Mum wore the same colour as us bridesmaids when my Sis got married.

As long as she remembers that it's not her day - it's the BRIDES day, and as such, the bride should be centre of attention, then all should be well...!!
Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??

I don't care what my Mum wears, so long as she's there.

She did say she won't wear a hat or fascinator though!

my mum said the same....but has now bought a fascinator :)

she was convinced they wouldnt suit her but the lady in the shop made her try one with the outfit and it looked fab, really finished it off well :)

I was jsut happy she had found something to wear.......It took her months to find something lol

  • My mum grabbed a bargain off e-bay - a Frank Usher dress and jacket for £38. Do you want your mum to go with your colour scheme? I don't think it matters to be honest! If you look at any wedding pics you have MOB's in different colours.

  • Usually it's a complimentary colour to the wedding scheme and MoB gets priority for colour over MoG - traditionally but these days it's whatever you want! Just make sure it doesn't clash and 'fits' ie is quite formal if the wedding is formal or not so if you're more laid back, it's not even compulsory for headgear these days.
Take her for a 'personal shopper' appointment at Debenhams, they'll point her in the right direction and you can have some input too!

I wasnt bothered what my mum wears but thought it would be nice if she ties in with the bridesmaids.

Bridesmaids are in aqua blue, mum is in lavendar and think MIL is planning on wearing a baby blue colour :)
