Anyone used allfordress.co.uk???

i came across this board as i was searching for this exact company as i bought a dress last year from the cheshire show room for my friends 30th prom night.
i made an appointment and drove all the way over there to be greeted by a very friendly and helpful lady the dress i bought was beautiful and now my daughter will be wearing the dress as a bridesmaid at my wedding next year i wanted to get more of the same and also look at the wedding dresses they offer.
i would use this company again without a second thought.

I have bought a dress from this company. I would NEVER use them again!! The first dress they sent me was of very poor quality!! it had holes in it,the underskirt hung below the dress line on one side,they had obviously used rusty sewing needles as there were rust marks on it (which were very noticeable as it was a white dress)and the lace also had lots holes in it,it was awful especially as it was for my wedding.The dress obviously hadn't been inspected before dispatched (or they just posted it straight out when they received it from China/Hong Kong) I took photos of the dress and emailed the company who asked me to return the dress for repair (which was at my cost as they would not refund the postage!) I have now received the REPAIRED dress back only to find that the lace cover is noticeably shorter in the front section of the dress. I am now sourcing a professional seamstress to repair it. I have emailed allforderss and heard nothing........don't imagine i will.

Look elsewhere!!

That is shocking!! How much did you pay?

They're only 5 minutes away from me (well the warehouse is), do you want me to pop in and ask them what the hell they're playing at?

I actually went to the warehouse to buy my dress, and I'm really happy with it! It's well made and feels much more expensive than it actually was.

One of the dresses I tried on wasn't very well made, so there's obviously some variability in quality, and I'd advise buying in person rather than online if you can. Also, I took mine away straight away so that I know exactly what I'll be getting (it only needed slight alterations, and I'd rather have those done closer to the wedding anyway).

Fannyann, You are right. I am new here. I never thought to get in this wedding board. Can you please search “allfordress” on google? You will understand why I am here. This post is only behind my own website at second place after Google search. That was really annoying me. Specially when you put lots effort and spend lots time on that, It just like my baby. Really don’t want her to be hurt. I have to be here.

Hi I have just received my wedding dress from All for dress and I must say it is absolutely gorgeous.
The attn to detail is amazing and it fit's perfectly, they have been wonderful in keeping me informed of what has been happening with the dress.

I would definately reccommend them, the workmanship is exquisite, beautiful dress and I am extremely pleased with it, I cannot wait to wear it on my wedding day.

Yes I used this site - saw them on ebay - needed a dress for my daughters prom in july of this year.
noticed the ebay address was local to me and i contacted them through ebay asking if they had premises where i could view the dresses as it turned out they were local to me in wirral and the girl who runs it couldn't have been more helpful - a dress i was going to pay £250 for i got for £98 !!

looked at wedding dresses too and they are all of beautiful quality - hope this helps would send photie if i could x :money:

I'm getting mine from there, I went to visit back in early october and I am going back on 27th November to be measured up for dress C107 (as I'm not getting married til Sept 2011 she said I should only get measured up and put an order in next June - so it's not like she's expecting to sell lots and disappear, I then rang back and said I really really couldn't wait!!).
I was originally going to go for Mily bridal via ebay, however I feel better being able try it on and inspect the dresses and being able to collect it in person and inspect it and try it on. She (Mia) has also agreed to do a corset back instead of zip up for me. :j

As soon as the dress arrives I'll post some pics but I won't be expecting it until about February.

I contacted them and made an appointment for my daughter to be measured for a wedding dress. I admit - they are difficult to contact - but thats because Ann is so busy - so doesn't make many appointments available.
Ann was wonderful - very pleasant and helpful.
We were lucky enough to find a dress whilst we were there - which needed minimal alterrations to fit my daughter.
The dress is beautiful and VERY well made. She also chose a long white satin coat to go over it as the wedding is in November.
The dress and coat (and veil and underskirt) were unbelievable value.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their dresses.

May, you're right, they were called that on eBay, not sure if they still are or not.
