Have you tried this http://www.warmfront.co.uk/ even if you dn't get benefits they have subsidised central heating...we don't get any benefits and I was quoted £4000 for full central heating if we needed it.

I DID POINT THIS OUT EARLIER FOR THOSE OF YOU WITHOUT CENTRAL HEATING.....DOESN'T HURT TO GET A QUOTE EVEN IF YOU DON'T GET BENEFITS...oops caps lock

  • Oh goodness... where did that hour and a bit go to?

In my HHC, which turned into 1 hour and 10 mins, I:

    * Put loo cleaner down the loos to get on with it
    * Emptied the DW and repacked it from breakfast
    * Washed up all the roasting tins from last night's meal (tut! :o)
    * Stripped the meat off a chicken
    * Made chicken sandwiches for DH and froze them down
    * Replied to one urgent e-mail
    * Made chicken stock
    * Ordered a CD that a friend is singing on
    * Got the fire going again (it was still burning from last night)

Doesn't seem like much, does it? Anyway, I'm sitting by the fire for company, clutching a cuppa until 11:30, then I'm off to make a chicken curry for tonight, clean the loos, unpack the airing cupboard and tackle the Sitting Room of Doom.

Anyone like to join me from 11:30?

    MissH

  • Can I come back? Hello ladies(&gents) Hope everyone is ok. Re-joined in Jan, for 1 week (hangs head in shame!) Did really well and got 5stars,I think. Then never got time to come on here, excuses, excuses, excuses!!!!!

I am back and I mean it!!! Working all week as boss on hols! Not fair!
Will go home and tidy living room before picking girls up from school. DH at pool tonight, DD1 at brownies so just me and DD2 till 7.30, DD2 bedtime. Will hoover floors and sofas when get back from school. DD2 needs 'us' time when DD1 at Brownies, reading and practise keyboard.
I think I will get a box and put everything in it that doesn't live in the living room, then sort that with the girls later.
I really must get on top of this housework malarky, I HATE IT SOOOO MUCH!!!!
Have ironing and undies to sort out tonight too.
DH goes away Wed night, so that gives me 2 weeks to get back into a routine. All of us were off last week, girls did basically what they wanted, mainly chilling, watching films, playing with toys and skating. DH spent the week on the sofa, apart from SUn when I was ill and couldn't do anything and he had no choice!!! So I decided last week that I would do nothing too, bad move!!!! Lots to do this week!!!

Anyway, enough of my babbling, I will aim to get at least 2 stars this week.
