We are into our 3rd week without hot water and after British Gas' 7k quote for a new system I think we will be without it for a bit longer!

:(:( Us too - we've been off for about 10 months now, although, we can eek out hot water for the time being but not central heating (brrrrr!). We're in for the long haul - we were quoted £6.5k by BG but that was 10 months ago. I think it'll be about 3 years before we manage to save that amount :o:o:o

In the meantime, find or adopt as many Grandparents as you can, and ask them to start knitting!!!
  • Morning my lovelies!

after a bit of work last night before bed, my list looks like this for today, which is rather pleasing!
    Monday ~ Living/Family/Reception room
    Level One
    Level Two
Wipe sticky grubby marks from walls and paintwork

    Dust and deweb light fittings,
    Level Three

    Extras
    Binbag dance

Can't do a binbag dance because absolutely honestly after doing these lists (even on & off) for so long I've actually run out of clutter, amazing but true!! AND I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!
Home is looking good and we are planning to paint living rm & hallway (up & down) in next few weeks, due to grubby handprints etc. Planning on using washable paint this time, as the cheap paint I used last time just comes off on the sponge if I clean it, even lightly:eek: Needs doing because it's frustrating knowing your home is clean but it doesn't quite look it because of the walls...

Many get well vibes to those suffering this week

    muchos hugos...

    Mrs B x

That's outrageous!!! You too, penguin !!!
there must be some way round this...Have you checked the forums to see if anyone has found a solution. (I would, but I never get ANY results when I search for something here!:rotfl:)
I mean, you can't be the first people to be in this situation and I cannot believe in this day & age people have to survive without hot water & heating, surely?
    There MUST be a solution...
    I'm praying there is x

eta: I'm sure you've both "googled" but I did find this... not sure if it applies to either of you...

GGRRRRR, I hate Mondays, especially after half term......normally, DD has to take in her PE kit, her reading book and dinner money.....today, as well as all that, she had to take in a box(they are going to make doors on it as they are learning about hinges) and a book to sell at the book fayre....we remembered her PE kit, so I have to find the other stuff by lunchtime!!!!!

Mini rant over, Good morning all, hope you are all well, haven't read the thread since last night so hugs to all in need, will put a list together now......

  • Funny how this Flying stuff spreads - DS & I investigated the slightly fishy pong in the kitchen, traced it to the microwave and at his suggestion we have
*taken the machine to pieces & washed it all
*pulled it out and washed all around, under & over it
    *rehomed the stuff on top
*carried on and did all the other worktops
*put the recycling outside into bin (its raining so it had been left)
    *emptied the bin
*washed the mop bucket which for some reason was outside the backdoor..

So someone has been watching me :j - now what about DH....:rotfl:

HHC at 9.15 anyone? We're heading into the lounge.

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Oh Gosh how I love school.. it is so wonderful in here today.. though they were arguing again this morning because it was 10pm before any of them got to sleep KH brought them back at 8:50 .. they are usually in bed at 7.. so they are shattered.. oh well.. bed early!!

Peaches has been used to mop up pee after she wee'd in the back room.. she is more than capable of using the cat flap!! Anyway she was sneezing it out of her nose.. stupid thing inhaled it.. She hasn't pee'd in the house in ages and if she thinks she can start doing it again she is very much mistaken!

I have a letter to drop in at solicitors today and OH wants to take his watch for a new battery...

Penny is currently trying to feed from my armpit and is kneading my boob like she is milking me... I swear my cats have lost the plot!! !!!!!! *flings cat across room* They are brain damaged!!

TD is on already.. but I have mountains of washing to get done!!

Best make a cuppa before OH gets back or else he'll only moan!
