    just a few for starters.

Yes because Labour have been a shining beacon of light in this area. Thank God we had BLiar and Clown in power or else we might have ended up with things like the police having the power to arrest you and keep you detained for over a month without trial, erosion of the right to remain silent, a criminal justice system that simply doesn't work, police who are forced to spend more time filling in forms and worrying about using this month's politically correct term du jour than about enforcing the law, civil servants who disagree with labour's policies being found having 'committed suicide' under strange circumstances...

Oh wait... all those things already HAVE happened under labour. Yes. I'm so glad clown and bliar were around to protect my human rights for me. Yeah right give me a break.

  • Who loses with a Tory victory? Anyone who thinks a UK-only despression would be a bad thing. Well, thats what Herr Strauss-Kahn said would happen with deep cuts this year, and as head of the IMF I'm sure that he is wrong and George Osborne is right.

One thing's for sure - Tories won't lose. Nor their friends. A hard pitch this austerity. Basically bankers have effed up the world's economy, now we're going to let bankers - the markets - dictate how we run the economy. Which means that ordinary people have to pay for the banker's mistakes, whilst they go back to paying themselves a zillion quid in bonuses.

I know that Tories remain convinced that people are going to vote for this, but I remain convinced they won't. And if you look at the polls since the conference you can see how the election has switched from a referendum on how we all got into this hole to who do we trust to fix things.

People don't want austerity, they want recovery. Them having to pay for the bankers goes against most people's sense of natural justice. Won't happen.

So why has labour spent almost 2 1/2 years doing nothing to aid the 'recovery'?

Have you not just told everyone to vote tory ?

Nothing? Weren't we the most exposed in Europe to the crash by having the biggest banking sector? And yet our economy is performing no worse than the Eurozone and better than Germany and Spain and Italy. Don't we have significantly lower unemployment that the Eurozone?

Looks to anyone with eyes that quite a lot has been done. Did we get 4m unemployed as gleefully predicted by the frothers? Did we not take action copied by the rest of thw western world? Have not the IMF themselves praised our swift and decisive action?

You want to look at doing nothing, go look at the Tories. "Nothing" was their response to the crash - don't bail out the banks, don't do the VAT cut, don't put in a stimulus package, don't do QE. And now we have the head of the IMF telling Dave directly that to do what he plans will cause a UK depression.

Yes, surely the Tories have been right all along!

So 200 billion of spending, and we get... ermmm 0.1% growth and the prediction of a double dip recession. Also no disadvantage for those that casued it.

Well done labour and your anti robin hood policies, steal from the poor to give to the rich! Which is strange is that is exactly what labour has always accused the tories of.

Labour or Tory, what's the difference. I see 'call me dave' as just another Bliar to be honest. But the fact is we know how bad Labour has been and just can't afford to have them any longer. I suppose we have little choice but to give the Tories a go. We're doomed!

PS I read yesterday that over 1,000 council employees receive more than £100k a year. How can that be allowed to happen?
