I agree with you and especially with pensioners. They come from the age of thrift, saving for a rainy day and not using credit to buy tat. I think they will be very responsive to the whole country must make sacrifices and that means all will have cuts but we will protect the frontline health services for pensioners because you have paid your dues.
Many pensioners I speak to think Brown is wonderful, they only see the fact that he has looked after them.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
Council tax payers will be worse off under Labour. They have done all the work with regard to a major re-banding exercise, linking current house prices, property location, nice views etc etc. They are just waiting to be re-elected before hitting most of us with our new property bands.0

Well none of the pensioners I know have a good word to say about him. And I know quite a few!
We must know different pensioners then, quite happy with their free bus passes and winter fuel payments.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. Most pensioners I know are sick of Brown because he has destroyed the income on thier savings that used to provide for the little luxuries.
The ones I know are a bit smarter than that

who will lose out?
anyone relying on the NHS, including those using it for maternity services etc.
anyone relying on state education for their children.
anyone on a low wage who relies on the minimum wage legislation and it keeping in line with inflation.
anyone who supports civil liberties / human rights (expect increased 'terror' powers that erode things like the right to silence etc.)
just a few for starters. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -
