  • NSD today as in the house studying and heating up leftovers fro yesterday (which seem to taste better than yesterday, when it was freshly cooked?!

was it meat based in gravy??? mine always taste better next day as the flavours get absorbed more.

on the down side i was starving when i got to town (for work) and had to treat myself for a bacon roll and cuppa tea (£2).

Total spend today £2. Total: £31.26.

I have also done a food shop online as it was payday but this comes out a different budget :p
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

No chickywiggle, I'm a veggie and made a massive pot of quorn pasta bolognaise! But it might just be about letting the flavours seep through - i like homemade soup better on the second or third day too! Or maybe I'm just weird?!!:rotfl:
    :A2014 = my year for change!
:mad:Credit Cards are NOT my friends and I'm NOT playing with them anymore:p

  • £8.71 was left but had a few things to pay out for so Im left - still green - hurray! - with £4.04 left

I think for next week Im going to start a whole budget - including food spends and everything as I want to reduce everything and I think that way will help as Ive loads on my mind at the moment and having monthly budgets doesnt work for me.I have a clothes budget seperaly as Im doing the £100 challenge so it will be food/gifts/weekly spends if thats okay

I will work out my weekly target and come back over the weekend

Hope everyones managing this week to stick to it

Chuggingtongirl thats what I do. My £80 per week covers food/clothes/hairdressing/gifts/household stuff and everything else that isn't a bill covered by d/d's and the £500 I have budgeted for Christmas 2010. So far it is working well although I have to watch everything I spend and it has certainly resulted in me deciding not to buy things on the spur of the moment. Luckily I came into this year with a full freezer and storecupboard but I do seem to be able to keep both stocked up without too much difficulty. Everything I have bought has been a considered purchase and lots of things have gone back on the shelf where before I would have bought before I had thought whether I needed that item or not. I started this challenge because I had committed myself to a very expensive holiday with a friend just before a family matter cleared out all my savings. Since the new year I have put back nearly 2/3's of those savings and already have enough to pay for that holiday with just the spending money to go. I don't want to stop now though as I realise just how much I can put away each year and we are already talking over plans for holiday 2011. It has taken me years to get this far.
Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot.
