ReaditSwapit is a website where you swap books you have read, it's free except paying the postage to send the books! I believe you make a list of the books you have, the books you want and then when you get a match with someone, away you swap! I should probably go and make an effort to do some lists as I keep taking books to the charity shop and I'm running out!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

Thanks so much PPB.

Hiya, newbie here! Can you put me down for £70 which includes food shopping but accounted for petrol elsewhere?
Readitswapit is fab! definitely recommend as have read some books would never have thought of before and really enjoyed them (obviously a couple of rubbish ones too lol)!

hi maysmummy - yea a familiar face!!
kinda as ppb said. www.readitswapit.co.uk
you can hunt for books you like and request swaps then request it from someone. that person gets sent your book list and either accepts the swap (and asks for a book of your list) or declines it (and sends a reason e.g. I don't want to read any of your books right now) or (in the case of 9 in my queue) completly ignores you.
you don't need to log in everyday - you get an email with the address to post to on if accepted or a refused email.
oh and vice versa if someone asks you to swap with them.
then you wrap it and post it (2nd class POP so not too expensive).
oh and if you exhaust the list of available swappers for your title you can add it to your "wishlist" and you get an email when someone adds it.
each person tells you the condition of their book so you can go down the list selecting best version 1st until someone swaps - unfortunatly the only way i've found to keep track of this is to copy the page of all the available books into word and cross off as i go down.
join in its great, have managed to get a far few books i wanted to read thro it - a lot of baby/ toddler ones which can be £15 new.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Hi everyone
Well I was 'just' in budget last week...£8.80 spent out of a possible £9
this week is payday so on thursday I will have a budget but until then I have £2 to see me through! although stocked up on bread milk etc so no reason to spend so hoping I will survive.Ive ebay funds if I get desperate but trying to ignore that until I 'need' it
Will stick to £2 then next week get back to proper budgets and planning my month properly so this doesnt happen again!
have a good weekWeekly Spend Challenge £200 -

Thanks for the detailed explanation. Am going to give it a try as up to now I have been using amazon marketplace to buy my books. The books are dirt cheap but the postage isn't. As my surveys pay in amazon vouchers it's been OK but I think that I will swap to Mr J L vouchers as they are better for me (I can use them on Ocado)
Cheers

I'd like to change my amount this week please - This morning I added up what's in my purse and I had £21.50 to last the week.
So I'll go for £21.50 this week.
Spends today = £10.79 on some (much needed!) make-up and £2.55 on coffee with friend. Total today £13.34 leaving £8.16
Thank you, Saz xxx

Dear Pointy
I need some clarification on the rules of this. Firstly can you explain exactly what the reds and greens are about. Is Reds spending more than target and greens less?
Se ondly I have so far done nothing other than have a lazy morning in bed followed by messing about on the Internet. That resulted in me chopping my moped insurance down by a fiver plus getting breakdown cover included. Am I allowed to go for a minus in this competition? :rotfl:
