£8 for me today on some scratchcards to go in DH's birthday card tomorrow - it's all he's asked for lol!
16p left!!!:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0 -
Bought my food shopping, paid for my yearly OAP railcard
bought OH tea and snack and still have £18.63p left so I am on track again this week. Might beg the question that I am allowing myself too much each week but believe me this is a vast improvement on what I used to spend. I am learning to stagger my bigger purchases so I don't spend lots all in one week which seems to work as it is teaching me the difference between needs and wants. It is said that you can't teach an old dog new tricks but it seems you can.
Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0 -

Ahhh Chickywiggle... if only all my bags were full of hidden moneyI had a good look in all of them after I found it
well Ive spent £6 today on snacks and treats as having friends over later so £16 left.
Hoping not to spend much as not going to have much chance to go to the shops which always helpsWeekly Spend Challenge £200 -
Spent £3.25 on a lunch today - am aiming for two more no spend days - want to be green again by the end of the week.

well i had to take advantage of sainsburys last day baby event and my £1 off pampers and picked up approx 50 pampers nappies for £5.
and might have treated myself and family to some choccy muffins (4 for £1) tho i was reallly dissapointed in them.
a kitchen utensils set (we needed a new potato peeler as DH broke ours), a mothers day photo frame - £1 each
ohh and some cheese £2
also some A4 envelopes (£1) and posted an ebay item (90p) but these were paid for on the items p&p charges so don't count.
so todays spends: £10.
Total: £29.26/ £20loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Bit of a shaky start for me, I'm afraid!
I set myself a budget of £60, but had to do a full grocery shop as I got paid yesterday and february was a 'skint month' for us, so we had very little food in the house. On a positive note, we got right into buying value brands and shop's own brands and got a full fridge, ingredient and store cupboard shop. The bad news was the total came to £44.22, so I definately wasn't slapping my back pocket twice in an 'I'm happily saving mega money kind of way', I can tell you! I suppose good news is though that I will only need to buy maybe an extra loaf or two the rest of the week - and I'm proud because I didn't indulge my obsession for Soap Mags (probably helped by the facts that Archies killer has been revealed and Joe's body has turned up!)
Also spent £10 on fuel for the week too - This is a real opportunity for me to cut back - my full time job has me using a full tank of petrol each week, but for the next 6 months, I am on placement as a student at a workplace 5 miles from home, so all local journeys except one biggie at the weekend to visit parents (a 50-mile round trip).
So I've spent £54.22/£60.00, so there's still hope!!!
Hope you're all doing well xx:A2014 = my year for change!:mad:Credit Cards are NOT my friends and I'm NOT playing with them anymore0 -

I hate it when that happens... you think oooh lovely I'll treat myself/family/whoever and then it's disappointing... feels like such a waste!!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16
