Well the day is half done now, place looks better. Even walked down the co-op to get some salady bits for my tea. Not done the ironing - there's always another day :rotfl:

Sorted out my wool, I seem to have rather a lot, thanks to Aldi's special offers this week :D

Think I may and go and bake some cakes, am making some to take down for DGD's christening so might make some now and freeze them, need to check if there is room in the freezer or....on the other hand I may just carrying on surfing and facebooking lol

    Afternoon all :)

Hope you're all having a lovely Sunday.

I haven't had a very good week, so haven't been around that much. I've no idea at the moment, what's been going on, but will try to catch up.

There hasn't really been much OS'iness here, although I do have a chicken in the SC :D

Hopefully, we can get back to normal soon.

I was at the hospital again this week, and I'm now waiting for the results of another MRI to see how much things have progressed.

DD2 went to her carer's club today. DD1 isn't well, so stayed home.

It's been a quiet Sunday really, although my friend will be over later.

Will go have a catch up and be back later.

(((HUGS))) to those in need :)

PP, my thoughts are with you and your family for tomorrow. I hope it goes as well as these things can go, given the circumstances.

Sandy, sorry to hear about your beloved cat. I hope it turns out not to be the worst outcome tomorrow, once you visit the vets :(

Happy birthday, Julie. I hope you're having a nice day :)

... The stairlift still isnt fixed ...

PenPin, how long has it been broken now? Will be thinking of you tomorrow xx

....the orchids were reduced to £2 each :T so i bought three, which are beautiful, I did have one before but it died :o, hope these ones are ok....

Redruby, I have 5 orchids, all in various stages of flowering, and all but 1 were reduced :D Mine thrive on either a west or east facing windowsill, west when in flower & east when "resting" & growing flower stems. They are really easy to look after, just cut off the flower stem when all the flowers have died & dropped off, be patient & wait for the next flower stem, and as long as you don't drown them they should be fine!
...Still in pain here and a couple more spots have appeared overnight. Had to cut the co-codamol down to 1 tab instead of 2, as it was making me light headed and naueseus. Taking 1 of those along with an ibuprofen. Not really hitting the pain, but will keep trying.....

Have you got your anti-virals yet? OH managed to get his the same day his spots came out on Boxing Day, he got over his shignles quite quickly after that. Maybe taking your painkillers with food would help?

Not very much OS going on: have ironed a week's worth of shirts for OH to pack; used up fridge oddments & a couple of bits from the freezer to make 3-course lunch - broccoli & brie soup, belly pork & tomato casserole with rice, and l/o pancakes (OH had blueberries, I had lemon & sugar). Will be dippy eggs & soldiers for my tea :p as OH has left for a training course until Tuesday night.

Then tomorrow I have a "conciliation" event at work - we've just experienced our pay review, a bit like Agenda for Change in the NHS but local government's version, and as I am a "loser" I have to go through various hoops before I can appeal against my score, which has dropped me by 2 points on the scale & capped me so I also lose 2 increments I would have got

However, to balance that, a much exciting thing I will be doing this week is writing the wedding invitations :D Yes I know it's very early for a September wedding, but it's also the night of a big local/national event, which creates a high demand on hotels. I will let you all guess what the event is!!

So I need to check I've got everyone's addresses, clear the dining table of all OH's "stuff" that is supposed to live in his office upstairs and find my best writing pen :D

I hope you get the stairlift fixed very soon and can be more comfortable.

I hope your friend realises how inconsiderate they were and things improve. The flowers for dd should arive on Friday (day before her birthday) and am looking forward to seeing them myself.

    Pipkin

Good luck with the mri results.

About four inches of snow fell this morning but it looks as if it is thawing now.

Came downstairs and washed up the dishes, cups and glasses from snacks last night and then prepared cabbage and leeks with mushy peas , roast potatoes, a huge yorkie and lemon and garlic chicken for lunch . Also sorted out Dh's favourite huge mug for his tea by removing tannin stains.

DH reckons he feels really cosseted this morning as he has usually been doing a lot while I convalesced - he can't believe his luck that I feel more up to doing stuff.

Even my youngest said the chicken was "Yum!" H pointed out she was starving as she had got in from a girlie sleepover :)

DD(24) phoned to get advice on a cash ISA and we found one after searching online - then her sister decided she needed boots (not when I suggested it weeks ago and sales were on online). After searching three websites I finally got a pair from evans with £25 off and free delivery.:j

Think I deserve a cup of tea so hugs to all and see you later.

    :hello: again :)

Well the snow started to go very fast today when the sun came out and now it's starting to freeze, think it will be a pain in the morning defrosting the car for the school run :(.

DD is feeling a lot better today so cooked us chilli con carnie for tea, it is so much better than mine (think her GSE cooking grades will be good :D).

I have been decluttering my bedroom today (couldnt belive how much rubbish I had stuffed under the bed ) also finishing off my sewing :D.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Kind wishes and hugs to all :D

Floss, am hoping to get my anti-virals tomorrow. Have been having the tablets with food, but was still making me feel odd. Much better at half the dose!

Off to watch dancing on ice now, love it!

Pipkin - sorry you've not had a good week. Hope results of your scan are ok. x

It has been broken for nearly 3 weeks now but the council have been out and we are awaiting a new transformer which they said would take 48hrs? Ive spent a lot of nights on the sofa or OH has had to carry me upstairs:o...and the loo is downstairs, so makes it very difficult.

Thanks for all the lovely messages and PM's. They mean a lot.

Going to try and have an early night tonight as we have an early start in the morning.

    God bless.
