NPM Big hugs sounds like you need it.

  • Morning all

It's beautiful and sunny here again, none of that snow stuff here!

I had a pretty awful night's sleep :( I went to bed round half10 feeling absolutely knackered, but then couldn't sleep so I read my book for an hour. It's a crime thriller, so then when I did drift off I kept having freaky dreams about the going ons in the book! And I woke up pretty much every hour. I have a chesty cough now so that stopped me sleeping too. Woke up at half6 and got up to put DW on, managed to get another almost 2hours sleep after that by putting on an eyemask. I have work stuff going through my mind as I'm back in tomorrow, starting with a new team of 15 kids in a new location and I've been off all week so have left most of the organising to a colleague who is brand new to the job!!

    Anyway.....back to today

I'm going to sit on my balcony in the sun and read for a bit this morning. It's chilly but I should be ok with a cuppa and a hoodie on. Rugby is kicking off at 5pm today so will leave mine bout half3 to pick up my friend. I think lunch will be HM soup from the freezer, and I'l prep dinner before I go - Mash, veggie sausage, peas and gravy as I didn't make it yesterday!

    Have a good day all

  • MSD - thats rude of your friend just to simly not turn up. Hope he has a very good reason.

    Hester - 57 t-shirts??

Pen-Pin - sorry you're not so good. Hope your stair lift gets fixed soon. Thinking of you tomorrow.

Bitsy - am loving the cake for breakfast!!

    NPM - hugs!

    Julie - Happy Birthday

jc - sorry you're losing some income. Hope you can make ends meet ok.

Topsyturvy - hope the paddy over teeth cleaning has been forgotten this morning!

Essex-girl - Ikea is very near wembley if you need any bits. Free car-park and nice cheap cafe (with unlimited refills of soft drinks if that floats your boat!)

Redruby - glad your DD had a great time in Spain.

hart - hope your DD throat is ok.

Did well for me today, remembered lots of people!

Still in pain here and a couple more spots have appeared overnight. Had to cut the co-codamol down to 1 tab instead of 2, as it was making me light headed and naueseus. Taking 1 of those along with an ibuprofen. Not really hitting the pain, but will keep trying.

Plans for day - no idea. Hardly done anything all week because of being in pain. House is a tip and I have a mountain of ironing to do. Will just have to see how I fee I suppose.

How lucky you all are to have snow. We have to go out soon for the day to the footy and it is chucking it down with rain.I'd rather it be cold than wet.. plus you can put your boots and winter warmers on etc but you cannot take a brolly in the footy.

Morning all. We have a good covering of snow here too (North Lincolnshire). Was meant to be going to Mum's for tea but will have to see what the weather does, she lives in the back of beyond and the roads can be pretty shocking! I've a piece of brisket defrosting which I'll cook and we'll have it for tea if we don't go to Mum's or I'll freeze it onces its done if we do go.

Exciting times here...I have 3 cousins who are all pregnant and due anytime in the next few weeks. 1 went into labour last night and another this morning!! I can't wait for all the baby cuddles!!

Yesterday I went for a 2 hour walk then cleaned all of upstairs. OH was at work till 8pm then we ordered a takeaway (naughty in terms of both the diet and the spend but very tasty!) and watched a film. Back to the diet today and will hopefully have time for a walk.

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Sandy, sorry to hear that. I'd be devastated if it was any of my cats (including my foster cat). Hugs to you. x
  • Afternoon all

We had the most beautiful sunny day here yest and today have woken up to about 4 in of snow and it is still at it although not as heavy as before.

Diva - what a shame about your friend not coming and your day being wasted. I think I may try to make the tuna quiche today

PP will be thinking of you tomorrow sorry to hear you are feeling so poorly

    NPM (((Hugs)))

    Julie Happy Birthday :bdaycake:

Sandy (((Hugs))) I lost my little dog 2 weeks ago so know how upsetting it can be.

Have been baking this morning - carrot cake, twinks and weetabix loaf. Have a piece of gammon in sc and all veg is prepared for dinner. House tidied and OH is going to blitz the bathroom for me this afternoon so I can do a bit of knitting - I am becoming quite addicted! Doing a baby cardigan at the moment. DD is actually wearing my first ever attempt at a garment (a chunky cardigan and I am sooooooo proud!!!!!) Only problem is I now keep buying wool and have quite a stash already!!!:o

Anyway keep warm and well everyone and enjoy your Sunday

    Good afternoon!

Awoke to snow here too, about 4", but hopefully it won't stick. The dogs will at least come back from their walk cleaner than usual without the muddy puddles!

In haste today as the lunch is nearing completion - gammon, roast potatoes, yorkie puds, carrots, peas & gravy :T Tea will be cheese & crackers and fruit.

Diva What a wasted afternoon :(

Ladyshopper Hope you get better soon xx

Pen Pin Big hugs to you & OH xx

jc Hope that you can manage to sort out things. It's so difficult losing income like that. Thinking of you xx

NPM Big hug to you too xx

    Julie67  Happy Birthday!! xx

Other plans for today are to make my sandwiches for tomorrow (I feel like it's my 1st day at school again :rotfl: ) and to clean & polish DS3's shoes.

I'll catch up later on. Love to all xxx

    Good afternoon,

Forgive me not mentioning people by name, but I'm having building work done amongst other things, so my head is up my backside so to speak. Yesterday I cleaned the kitchen, and hoovered all round, ready for the builders to come and mess it up again next week (not really their fault, there's a lot of dust because the ceiling had to come down upstairs).

Today I have done all the ironing, helped ds with his homework, made fairy cakes and bread rolls with ds helping, and in half an hour I'm taking ds to his friend's birthday party.

We had snow this morning, and sadly at 5:15am when ds got up for the day, we had no tv as there was no satellite signal. Luckily when I looked out of the window I realised why instead of thinking anything was broken. He managed to cope without tv though, mainly by talking to me. I think he'll be going to bed sooner rather than later tonight!

    Take care all of you.
