woke up to a few inches of snow this morning and still going strong:o, have had enough now.
DS had a very trying day yesterday, OH at work till 7 and so I had to go out for milk taking DS with me(he doesnt do shops). He had a huge meltdown in local sainsburys so had to just leave the milk and carry him home kicking me and shouting:o.
He woke in a mood this morning and OH and I have aleady been shouted at and it will probably carry on all day. He got very angry yesterday and slammed the door stomping off upstairs screaming. I ended up sat crying and wondered what happened to my little baby to make life end up like this for him:(
Back at school tomorrow and I am off work. I adore and love him so much and he is the most precious thing in my world but dear God he just doesnt do holidays and it is difficult.
Making Hugh Fearnly doodahs Slow roasted shoulder of lamb with merguez spices today....yummy. DS won`t be eating it of course;). Will be sorting something else for him. Cant do any baking as lamb needs to be in 7 hours:eek:
Ladyshopper glad you now know what was causing the pain. At least you can get it treated now
sandy still thinking of you and puss cat

  • Morning all thick white frost at 6.00. this morning but it seems to have disappeared a little now.Woke up at sill o'clock with cramp in my calf muscle.Felt like it was going to be knotted for the rest of the day so i got up and made some tea then went back to bed for a read.I am taking the little ones to see The Princess and the Frog after lunch today as DD has to do her one Sunday a month at work, so I thought I would give my son-in-law a peaceful couple of hours to read the papers.
Hope everyone has a good day and keeps warmly wrapped up,when will this winter ever end
    Cheers JackieO x

    Morning all,

Happy Birthday to Julie, Have a great day xx

Its pouring down here and has been all morning, Little dog and dd are in bed, so its just OH and me up at the moment.

Yesterday we went and bought an extra kitchen cupboard and OH fitted it it looks great, I think I will put all the food in it for now, until he builds my larder cupboard, while we were in b & q, I had a look at the plants, and found a reduced section ;)the orchids were reduced to £2 each :T so i bought three, which are beautiful, I did have one before but it died :o, hope these ones are ok, I also got two huge house plants in ceramic pots for £3 each, which look great in the conservatory.

The orchids were for the conservatory too, but OH was fiddling with the heating when we got home and snapped the k n o b off :( so we have no heat in there at the moment, apparanty its a big job to sort out, the whole system will need draining.

Dinner today is a nice bit of brisket, which I will do in the sc, with carrots and onion, and I will make my gravy in there too.

Its sooo nice to have my dd back :D she had such a great time, and now likes aubergine and had the best salad ever, as much as I missed her she had such an experience :T

Ok better got on, lots to do, have fun all xx

    Morning everyone

Snow here too, but think it is trying to rain/sleet now. Went to pictures yesteday and watched Peter Jackson The lightening Thief, really enjoyed it as did ds2. Meant to be going out today possibly to the zoo, but think the weather may put paid to this and will do something else.

Need to clear pots from yesterday evening as was just too tired to bothered last night, after DS2 spent an hour shouting and having a paddy about brushing his teeth before bed. Need to put wm on again to clear the never ending pile of washing.

Julie - Happy Birthday, hope you have a lovely day
NPM - Hope your day turns out better than expected.
Ladyshopper - hope your pain starts to ease a little, never had shingles but believe it can be very painful.
PennyPincher - Thinking of you and your family. Hope you get the stairlift mended soon.
Essexgirl - Hope you DD has a fab time at the XFactor.

Well I'd better get a move on, need to get dressed yet, make breakfast and make a start. Enjoy the rest of your day. ((Hugs)) to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care.

No snow here at the moment but it's forecasted for middle of the day, we shall see. BH is off on a detecting rally so just me and 'The Beast' here today, and not much planned. Have leftovers from the slow cooker chicken in the fridge, not to mention sausage and bacon . . . think there may even be some muffins in the bread bin. Homemade not McMuffins are quite taking my fancy now :rotfl:

Listening to Treasure Quest on Radio Norfolk, may just bring some stuff out here to the table and get a start on new menu plan.

    Enjoy your Sunday!

Morning all...............(((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))) if you need one.....

PP sorry to hear that you are having such a tough time, hope things get better.

We were not late into bed last night and up just befor 8.30am. DS2 is performing in the kitchen doing the otherside, just taken out the work surface so we can get the fridge/freezer in, so I will have my wonderful fridge back and lots of space for stuff.

After that its the shelves on the wall, he has to cut the brakets because they are too long.

The sun is shining but golly its cold outside minus4 a few minutes ago. Apparently the Midlands are getting the worst of the weather just now. I hope DS2 can get baqck into his flat when he does go home.

Nothing else planned except to keep on with the work in hand.

Supper pork chops and all the trimmings and more of the apple and blckberry crumble for afters.

    Morning All

Bitsy its never too early for cake....or Vodka come to think about it - but maybe not at the same time :D

We have Snow! lots! although the stuff thats still falling seems to be more sleet than snow so hopefully it wont last. I dont have to go anywhere today so I didn't mind waking up to it :D

Without [STRIKE]boring you with[/STRIKE] going into detail we will be losing some income shortly and will be worse off to the tune of about £450 a month so while its a bit  and it will take some serious belt tightening I think we'll be ok. I think i'll be using a lot more lentils ;) Kids will hear 'Nope' more and DH has vowed to pack in smoking (). At the moment DH is a SAHD and he was looking at getting part time work (DD isn't at school yet) which would fit in around my work but it does make us wonder when we'd get to spend any time together. I've suggested we try and manage how we are for now and the next couple of months in particular will be very tight but then a couple of debts will be paid off and that will make things more bearable.

Got the shopping done yesterday, have mage a vague meal plan in my head and the livingroom got tidied and surface cleaned altho I wanted to wash the walls and didn;t get that done.

Think me and DD have our baking heads on so will go and see what we can get started on

    Have a good day
