sky upgrade letter -what does 'grade A' mean?

if you get a a grade box and want a new one, give it a week and call them saying the box keeps freezing. they will send someone out and replace the box with a new one in most cases.

No they wont,you'll get a reconditioned box.
I speaketh from experience as a Sky Engineer.95% of all boxes I replaced on service calls were recondiotioned.That is still the case now.

worth the try, I got a new box a couple of years ago and other I know did the same

Of course the boxes are different.
Sky have umpteen boxes made by different companies,Amstrad Pace,Grundig ect,the chances of you getting the same one on a service call are small.
It's up to the stores system what box you get for an install/service.One week you may get all Thompson,the next all Pace.

I was lucky today. Sky engineer installed me a new box rather than the second hand grade A box. Awesome.
