Hi,
Thanks for reply, yes she is in overdraft up to limit. seems to me that they are punishing her for having the cheek to ask for ppi refund, they know at this moment in time we are struggling financially unlike lies tsb we havent got any one to bail us out. Cant wait to get shot of all our accounts with this greedy bunch !
Hi there
I know what you mean, and yet they should not be unfair and do this, just because of rightfully reclaiming what is rightfully your wifes.
In regards of financially struggling, I think it may be a good idea to seek free help on this matter, there is a thread called debtfreewannbe thread, where an organisation called the CCCS (Free) also post on there at daytimes, they will give the best advice with a client number with a template letter to send to the bank in regards of the hardship.
It will also be recommended that you open a new basic account elsewhere and have all income/payments paid into the new account in a new bank.
Then an payment arrangement plan can be made about the overdraft account, where you also request they freeze the interest etc.
But for this one I would defo post on the thread as stated where you will also see others in the same situation and it have worked for them, it will be like a great weight lifted from your shoulders.;)

It will soon be sorted, and meanwhile, good luck on the letter, if they do not resolve in your wifes favour then complain to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS), and also mention about the way your wife have been treated too.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi hun
A standard letter from Lloyds then, the usual with them.
Hope they uphold in your favour, keep us posted of this, I had recently wrote to them in regards of an offer, was not too happy and they made loads of mistakes with dates and calcs etc, so even though it was the final decision I told them of their mistakes and felt like they did not investigate fully, as they did not give findings to all the reasons.
I was checking on other sites as well and the response we received was so much like others, apart from the offer side if it.
Anyway they did agree to look into the case again and have since sent out more offers, which should be with me any day now, so fingers crossed, and for you too.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi.
Its about time this shower were fined and shamed by the relevant authorities as even when claim is upheld they still try to buy us off on the cheap with derisory goodwill gestures. Cant wait for the time when they are publically exposed as the rip off merchants they are and are dealt with a very hefty fine0 -

In the media last week, you may have already read it, but Lloyds are up to date have the highest numbers of complaints.
This was also in the news on this site here:

Hi,
After 13 WEEKS of waiting for lloyds to investigate my wifes claim she has received a letter stating that she would still of been eligible for accident and sickness side of policy and that she should of realised the unemployment part was no use to her at point of sale ! Claim rejected and issued with FOS claim booklet as this is thier final responce, rang FOS who are now going to take up her claim against Lloyds. Cant believe this joke of a bank took 13 weeks to come up with a very poor excuse of rejection when they know that they will lose this case at the FOS.

Hi there
So sorry to hear this, and this is the most common response from LLoyds.
They seem to fob off with any excuse, but the way I see it despite being protected for life cover, hospitalisation and job solutions, this does NOT fully protect and your very right here, its a very poor excuse and I'm sure the FOS will sort this out for your wife, good luck, please keep us posted. The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi, After 5 months of waiting for FOS to sort this matter out my wife has finally had a letter from FOS stating that they uphold in her favour :j, they also state that having informed Lloyds of thier decision they have had no responce from them so this matter will now have to be dealt with by an ombudsman, new stalling tactic ? The FOS have also awarded my wife £200 distress payment subject to ombudsman decision, has anybody else been in the same predicament ? Thanks0
