morning!
I am pleased to say I feel a lot better today:j Sunnygirl - hope you are too x DS is also better so thank goodness we are both on the mend!
Should have been working today but called in sick yesterday as I need a gentle day today.
Plans are to clean the house, ironing and washing - spread out through the day with lots of sit downs inbetween. I got on the scales and have lost 5 and a half pounds since Wednesday night when I got weighed at SW:eek: thats actually takes me to underweight for my target! not to worry I expect it will soon go back on:D(got a bar of choccie waiting in the fridge for tonight;))
Meals today - lunch for me in macaroni cheese(HM from freezer) and dinner is HM quorn sweet and sour and noodles. Not sure what the others are having - something meaty I dare say.
Hart -I love cleaning too - my house or anyone elses:D I find it very satisfying and I am house elf to 2 others too as well as my proper job.
PP - hope you're ok x
(((hugs))) to those in need
take care all xDo what you love :happyhear0 -

Quite a covering of snow here today,I'm supposed to be going out tonight for a meal with some old workmates,a kind of reunion but as it involves driving it may be called off.Truthfully I'd be a bit relieved as I've gone so boring sat nite is usually pajamas on,glass of wine and a dvd.
Have 2 dgs birthdays in march they'll be 4 and 2 so dd1 is taking me shopping tomorrow to buy their pressies, only thing about going on a sun theres no charity shops open for me to root about in:(Have a good weekend everyone.
Hi pepsimax,
I think you posted in yesterdays daily thread by mistake so I've moved your post over to the thread for today.
While I'm here I must say 'hello' to everyone. :hello: I have got out of the way of posting on the daily so although I do often read the thread, I've probably missed lots. I've been busy with work this week so there hasn't been much in the way of Old Style happening around here.
I'm going to have to make up for that today. So my plans are to give the house a lick and a promise, try to take some of the bags in the garage to the dump, wash my car, do some baking for the lunchboxes and if I can fit it in get out in that lovely sunshine for a walk. Then make beef stroganoff for tea and light the fire for an exciting Saturday night in.
Have a good day everyone!

Good morning
Diva - That recipe sounds delish! Ideal for me as I'm not a lover of pastry, but think I'll make 2 smaller ones, 1 with a pastry base for DH as he'll think his being short-changed otherwise.
Woke up to more of the white stuff today, brrr. This winter really seems to be dragging on. Hurry up, spring, really looking forward to it now, just to be able to have some windows open and get some lovely fresh air.
Not much OS going on today. Will switch WM on in a mo, then curl up with James Martin!!! Burgers for tea tonight, just need to pop out and get some buns. Tried making my own but they ended up like little bricks. But in true OS I made them into breadcrumbs.:T
Have a good Saturday everyone.0 -
Good morning everyone

I feel much better today - I slept from 10pm last night until 9am this morning so it's no wonder :rotfl:
Taplady & DSON Glad you're both on the mend too :T
NPM Sorry you appear to have this lurgy now - hope that you manage some sitting down time today. I will still go back to work even if DH gets this job as I'm ready for a change and need some time for myself if that doesn't sound too selfish? I would like to increase our savings too which are always the first thing to go in times of crises
Diva Tuna tart sounds lovely - I'm the only one who will eat tuna in cooked things so I'm going to make it for my lunches early next week.
Pink Nice to see you posting! I was wondering how you were the other day.
Not many plans today apart from the usual tidying, cleaning and washing. I also want to get the ironing sorted before we all depart on Monday morning. I'm definitely taking packed lunches with me as the course isn't paid, obviuosly, and I don't want to be spending any extra until I have a job. Although I won't buy lunches out of force of habit I guess anyway :money:
My Mum was going to come down but she has succumbed to the bug so she's having a rest day at home too.
Have a good day everyone & enjoy your weekend however you spend it.0 -
Morning everyone
BH got a new alarm clock yesterday, so we had to test it out this morning - going off at 7:30 when we didn't have to get up at all . . . boys and their toys!:D Did manage to snooze until a little after 8 so not too bad. Opened up the curtains to find everything white, no snow just a very heavy frost and it's mostly melted now as the sun is shining, blue sky all around. YAAY!!
Mood improves considerably when it's bright outside!
Have a whole chicken in the slow cooker and then a quick dust around the lounge and wipe over the bathroom, not much else OS today. Got my Lakeland mailer yesterday and am desperately trying to force myself to bin it. I ordered a voucher for Amazon yesterday with my iPoints so will have a look round to see what I can get with that, then I think I'm done with iPoints - just stick with Quidco and Nectar.
May have a bit of a tidy in the garden if it stays sunny, need to be up to scratch before the park returns to normal and there's never a minute's true peace
Enjoy your day and
for all in need. 0 -

Morning All,
Gosh some of you are early birds on a Saturday morning!
Busy morning with cleaning and washing and then been to Mr Sainsbugs to spend my £12 off voucher, got another 5 for the next 5 weeks so that's good.
Woke up with some kind of eye infection that has made them swollen and sore, everyone thinks I look very funny
can't wear any make up which is very unusual for me so not looking my best and expecting visits from DD and MIL and DSS as its my birthday tomorrow. Hoe the swelling has gone down by then:(
Off to some friends for nibbles tonight so am going to take chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate crispy cakes yum.
Glad to hear a few of you are feeling better. I had it last week and does only seem to last a couple of days.
Diva the tuna quiche sounds delish will definitely try that this week.
Well got a house full of men shouting at the tv as Man u are playing so off to the kitchen to do some cooking.
Have a good everyone xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Just popped back on to have a rest.
WM is on for 4th time, back bedroom has been emptied, cleaned & put back, all ready for visitors (not that we're expecting any). Kitchen & lounge & bathroom also cleaned. If I don't run out of enthusiasm I may do my craft room next, I need to make some space in it as I need to finish some chickens.
Have a good afternoon everyone.
Hugs Hester

Afternoon everyone
A lovely day here again, but quite cold. My oh is here for the weekend, he has been to have his hair cut this morning, not that there is much to cut:D, he took ds2 with him and for both cost £7. In london he pays £10 and that is just for clippers.
DS2 very lively as usual, need to get him out to wear his energy off. We are going to the pictures later to watch Peter Jackson following somebodies recommendation on this thread, will take goodies with us and I also have a money off coupon which I can use.
Not much os today as all cleaning, beds changed done yesterday, need to put wm on later so can hang up overnight. Dinner tonight will be leftover sausage casserole from yesterday with either pasta or potatoes.
MSD - The recipe for Tuna Quiche sounds lovely have saved to my file and will try this week.
esmf73 - sorry your holiday wasn't great and good luck with the new regime too.
NPM - glad your DS ate the pasta. Hope you feel better soon.
Redruby - glad your DD enjoyed her holiday, hope she enjoyed the pancakes.
Bargainbird - Sorry to hear that you didn't get justice, that sentence is terrible.
Csarina - Hope your DS manages to get to you.
Taplady - glad you are feeling better.
Sunnygirl - glad to her you are feeling better too. Hope your mum is soon better.
Julie67 - Hope your eye infection clears up. Enjoy your birthday tomorrow:beer:.
Enjoy the rest of your day. ((Hugs)) to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care.

Afternoon peeps
gloriously sunny here now, how mood lifting is that!
I`m sooooo tired though i`m going to try and have at least an hours nap, feel like i`m wasting the nice weather though as i`ve lots to do outside and this is has turned out to be the nicest day for ages.
Both doggies have runny eyes
poor babies, i think that the youngest has caught it from the oldie. I went to the chemist thats next to the supermarket to get some ointment but they only had drops, i decided to give them a go and paid for them but was told that i had to wait for the pharmacist to return until anything could be taken from the store. It turns out that he had gone to use the loos in the supermarket as there were none in the chemist, 15 minutes later and i was still waiting and so were many others
I ended up getting a refund as i couldn`t leave Dad outside long with the trolleys as he can`t stand for long and i`d already left him for longer than i should. I went to the local chemist on the way home but that had closed by the time i`d got there so i`ve no drops for the houndies now. There is actually a new tube of little oldies ointment in the cupboard which i bought as a spare when he scratched his eye so i think that i`ll google that and find out if its suitable if not i shall have to find a chemist thats open tomorrow if they are still running. I think that its conjunctivitis poor bears, having said that neither of them seem bothered so maybe i`m worrying for nothing.
Little black cat is stretched out on the windowsill watching the robin on the bird table so shes happy, DH is at w*rk and the sun is streaming through the windows
i`m ignoring the fact that they need a clean at least for now but it will drive me bonkers soon enough.
Off for a cuppa and a nap, have a lovely afternoon everyone.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon
