I was fishing yesterday evening and was getting bitten to death by small fly type insects with black & white legs. Does anybody know what they were?

I used jungle formula in west africa and never got bitten once.

I had heard about the Avon product but never put it to test, heard the forces use it, how true that is I'm not sure, must ask my cousin what they used with the marines in Sierra Leonne.

ps. Apparently its the Forest fragrance dry oil spray you need with regards to the Avon product.

I was alwas led to believe the strongest DEET spray was the best, however just read this on a site...

'Researchers report that nepetalactone, the essential oil in catnip that gives the plant its characteristic odor, is about ten times more effective at repelling mosquitoes than DEET the compound used in most commercial insect repellents'

    Read this about Catnip Oil

It may replace one problem with another !

which of the Avon skin so soft fragrance works best?

For years we've used with great success the "Skin-So-Soft Soft & Sensual Creamy Body Wash Replenishing body lotion".

However some people seem to be using a later Avon product "Skin-So-Soft Soft & Sensual Dry Oil Body" ;of which I have no personal experience.

The products can be viewed here:- http://avonshop.co.uk/avonshop/default.asp

PS. I'm not an Avon rep ;-))
