How To Cancel Your Ezeedsl Contract !!

Has anybody recently obtained their MAC from ezeedsl while still owing them money. Under the new Ofcom rules I can obtain my MAC but will have to pay unpaid subscriptions and any money owing up to the end of my contract as soon as it is issued, quite unfair in my view as I have not used their service since I was hoodwinked into signing with them from e7even back in July 2006, I cancelled my payments to them and never heard from them again. I am just wondering if there is anyone in the same situation as me.0

eezedsl sent me an email stating that for a one off fee of £12 they would upgrade me to dslmax ie 8mbps but looking through the small print on their support page it states that anybody switching from v21 would get this free, after several emails to them i finally got a response and they would agree to this.0

although I personally am not involved with them a friend of mine who has it, says EZEEDSL has now gone bust and he has no email , Internet connection. He paid his 3 month renewal sub last November.0

I don't think they've gone bust. According to this link the non-service is as a result of a dispute with Tiscali. I've been trying to get through to Ezeedsl or 186k to get the temporary username but without any joy.

Isn't it a pain!!!!!
I got my temporary username & password without any problems, (from 0871 265 7261).
Thinking of going with TalkTalk now0 -
There were three new 'prospective' ISPs (all owned by Tiscali) listed on the "you cant use the internet anymore" redirect screen I had (ISP: 186k, previously EFH).
The number for the first one is 0800 954 2857. I didn't get their name, but they gave me a temporary login. They are open Saturday and Sunday 10am-4pm and are cheaper (and quicker to answer) than the 0871 265 7261.
Poor show, all the same, tho'0 -
When faced with this we got a fixed screen with a tel number. That was tiscali business services. They fixed us up with a temporary broadband access for 30 days (seemingly without charge) and after a while provided us wih a MAC code. They have since phoned us twice to check that we have this mac code.
We are actually going to Tiscali directly for their domestic service. Tiscali business cannot continue to provide a service to domestic customers - they sell block deals to businesses such as ezeedsl and in this case ezeedsl stopped paying them, but they have helped us by providing this temporary service (it seems a bit slow though).
I have contacted ezeeDSL is to try and get back the payment they have robbed me for by continuing to charge me after their service was suspended by tiscali. Not much hope though.0 -
About a year ago I gave up on SleezyDSL after waiting for around 18 months for them to provide the service ordered and moved to Tiscali Broadband and Telephone 24/7.
For the same price (19.98 @ month) :-
8mb broadband
Wifi Modem (allows many connections)
National and International calls
Line Rent
Pay 'after the event'
etc. etc.
Best move I ever made
I paid Sleezy by direct debit, which I cancelled at my bank. Just as well because they tried to charging for some months after I migrated.0 -
Hi there,
I don't know where to place my question so I thought i will start here. I have a karate contract which i pay via direct debit. It is a non-cancelable contract for the next 18 months, unfortunately i can no longer afford it and i will like some advice on how to cancel it. I hope i can as i believe it will be very unfair to force me to pay for something i can stop using. It is not like i bought a sofa and now i can pay for it.
Any help will be greatly welcome
Thank you very much in advance0
