Fellow Black Donkey bankers...I need your help

They wouldn't tell me when they posted them...My suspisions were already raised, cos I have never heard of a blanket request for ID, and if that was required from the FSA, we'd know about it...and if it was that common, why didn't the man I spoke to know about it?0

On Experian, there is a pop up window advising that Lloyds TSB have decided to share information with the CRAs and that if you are a Lloyds TSB current account holder then this will soon be showing up on your credit report, including the Overdraft limit and how much of it you are using.
I don't know if this is because Lloyds haven't previously given the information or if it's because I've had an account since before credit reports took off (late 80's).
If you apply for a current account, you get credit checked anyway - that's the norm. HTHBack on the DFW Wagon:

I opened a black donkey account as my bank charges parachute account, a basic cash account. I opened it with a passport and haven't heard anything related to your letter?0

is it worth one of us phoning tsb or should we leave well alone? don't want to open up a can of worms etc0

I suppose my point is, that I've been lied to, as they've said that everyone has had a letter and has to prove their identity, when you all plainly haven't :rolleyes: - and I haven't had their supposed letter...
Think I might be writing a letter, as it's rather worrying:cool: Proud DFW Nerd 135 :cool:Sealed Pot Challenge - 0190 -

It is worrying. Can you phone again laurajayne and ask to be put through to you branch? They should be in a much better position to help.
If I get chance to pop out of work tomoz, I'll ask in my branch as I've got a cheque to go in anyway (no depositpoint at the ickle one here). A neighbour works there and is honest about the cr!p bits of Lloyds!Back on the DFW Wagon:

I'm going to call the branch in the morning, and see if I can get a real answer out of someone...got told off by OH for getting to stressed about things like these...it's the principle of the thing though!
The CSA offered to put me through to the branch this afternoon, and then was suprised when I said what good would that do? It's SUNDAY AFTERNOON! :rolleyes:
It'd be interesting to hear what they say Ali......

From the horses mouth mwahhhhh (or other end if you prefer
)
Branch staff here are not aware of any letters going out to all customers regarding taking in ID. However, she did advise that it is normal practice to ask customers to produce their ID if the banks records aren't up to date when an application is made for another product. This translates into a few boxes don't have ticks in them on the system
Did you get the same answer laurajayne?Back on the DFW Wagon:
