Hello Everyone,
I am really stressed out on this matter so any help is apprecated
Let me explain
I bought a halogen oven with Ideal world on flexipay in December for my Family i paid the first payment no problem and i was transfering my account from natwest to irish allied bank because im in a middle of a move from england to Dublin, which is in 5 working days when i fly out
I contacted them in Janurary to update my bank details for the final payment of 23.77 and asked to pay it off due to bank problems with a credit card the guy spoke too was in india and was very ignorant, he refused to take the payment and tried to charge the account they had on file  this left me with a overdraft charge of 66.00 paid to santander,
I got a letter today stating they are using the moorcroft group to collect the money, I spoke to a kelly today at the moorcroft group and they said i was not on the system, i stated i have 5 working days to get this resloved before i move to dublin, they could help so i contacted ideal world,
Now my debt with them is 23.77p but they want to charge me 49.88p with 20 quid admin fee  but when i ring to make a payment they keep refusing payment saying i have to contact the moorcroft group
Now as i have said i have 5 days before i fly out to dublin and get out of this crap country, sorry personal feelings but im moving for job reasons and had enough of the tax over here, at least in dublin i get a proper tax rebate! unlike in england
anyway how should i get this resloved, because i dont have 14 days to wait and im proper getting messed around, i have there money on the account of my credit card but they keep refusing payment and are hesistant on passing to the moorcroft group,
is there any law i could use i.e the credit agreement act, sale of goods act, all i want to do is close down the damm account and pay them but there indian call center is a joke,
thank you for reading

Well its like this i contacted the home shopping channel in india to pay off the outstanding fund,They refused to take it saying they could not do anything i tried several times to update them with my new bank aco!!!! and they refused to do it, thats what i mean by ignorant.
Now they have a debt colector after me because i have offered to pay them twice but when i do they keep refusing the payment, i had the simalar sitution with b.t but b.t was glad to take my credit card details and that was that however the ideal home shopping channel wont!! and insist on taking a 20.00 outstanding balance to a debt recovery agency who when i have contacted have no record
I have stated i am moving in five days and want to get this resloved, i have not refused payment i am trying to pay yet getting messed around in the process

Try phoning their head office in Peterborough. Their customer service is one of the worst in the UK0

due to bank problems with a credit card
Did you at any time miss or delay a payment ?"Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."

i had the simalar sitution with b.t
If you are saying payments failed ,you are due to pay penalties as detailed below, they clearly say payment has to fail three times before it goes to a collections company
What happens if I miss a payment?
We understand that sometimes mistakes happen. If we attempt to take a payment and your bank declines it, we will send you a letter to let you know. We will attempt to take payment again 14 days after the original instalment date. However if your card is declined again, we will add a £10 plus VAT administration charge to your outstanding balance and this will be payable immediately along with your missed instalment.
What happens if the second attempt to take payment fails?
We will attempt to collect an instalment three times before handing it over to a debt collection agency. On the second and third attempt we will add a £10 plus VAT administration charge to your account. If you have still not paid, all outstanding payments due for your items (the missed instalments and any future instalments otherwise due at a later date) will be payable immediately in full, together with the combined £20 plus VAT administration fee. A debt collection agency will be instructed to recover these amounts from you who will add additional charges to the debt. Document and administration charges of 14% plus VAT will be added when the agency is instructed to recover the debt. This charge which will be increased to 29% plus VAT if a doorstep collection is required. Failure to settle the account with the debt collection agency may result in legal action being taken against you and any legal fees and costs added to your debt."Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."

What i am saying is that payment Failed only once but they was informed and they refused to update the card details on file so they could take the payment,
i have spoken to the collection agency and they dont have the details on the system, they have advised me to contact ideal world which i did twice the first time the guy i spoke to said if i paid it through them i would get a admin fee refund but they dont have me on the system at the debt collection agency and ideal world wont take the payment from me to clear and close the account
i offered them the money before they pass it on to collection agency...they refused payment
i have wrote to head office of ideal world also and a email which is to there indian call centre, so far no reply,
i am after paying them but i dont understand why i have to do it this way because i have 5 days left to go and i am not going to pay when i am in ireland, i want to get it sorted in 5 days not 14 days(waiting for the letter form collection agency and paying more money then it is worth)
hope that helps"MSE Money saving challenges..8/12/13 3,500 saved so far :j" p.s if i been helpfully please leave me a thank you but seek official advice at all times from a pro0 -
and i am not going to pay when i am in ireland
Why does moving to Ireland mean you won't pay ?"Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."

Do tell why I really want to hear this one
You missed payment/s and now are whining because you have incurred charges you don't want to pay
You want to write the rules but you can't because you already agreed to terms when you purchased initially
Pay it and move END OF"Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."
