However since these companies have no morals and their business methods are on the edge of legality, the question is not how but why would they do so.
fair point, too much alcohol before posting last night!
Although I dislike these channels, why blame them. No one ever takes personal responsibility these days. Everything is ALWAYS somebody elses fault0 -

I agree, which is why with gambling (as with alcohol, tobacco, etc) there are good arguments for having strict regulation.
At least with a casino you have to go out of your way to go there. With these gambling channels you would have to take some positive action to not receive them and not be able to make the phone calls. If you had to 'opt in' for premium rate calls it would be a start, but that would hurt everyones profits to much for them to allow it.0 -
Not heard of QuizCall before but there again I have led a sheltered life and have only got terrestial T.V. but I can recommend The Mint on I.T.V.
During this hot weather, if ever I can't sleep or I wake up to pursue bodily functions, the T.V. goes on with 10 minutes on the timer and I'm guaranteed to be asleep before the telly switches off.
IMO this programme should be available on the N.H.S. for insomniacs.0
